    That's what William Shakesman once said! :D

    To depict Abe Lincoln like a drunken football fan screaming at his lousy team is overboard. Secondly, to have it go on for three minutes with him just throwing obscenities is overboard, but I expect that from Comedy Central (not the biggest CC fan out there). The worst thing in a comedy sketch is for people to overdo things and stay on the same path for way too long. I sort of enjoyed the first minute or so, and then after that it was just nonsense. But I always have been a fan of subtle humor/sarcasm.

      @Jeter.
      Yep... was Shakespeare. The initial could have been funny, but it would have been about 1 minute long. Shock comedy works because it's out of the blue, not because you do the exact same thing for 3 minutes straight.

          I was going to stay out of this, but I'm seeing a huge flaw in some thinking here. I'm not sure if you guys have ever gone to a movie and been the only white guy there. I have and to see Abe there acting like a typical stereo type black movie goer is pretty fucking funny. Especially when you consider this is the man that history largely credits for freeing the slaves. That whole play on race and stereo types is funny to me.

          For those that don't know the WKUK have been around for several years. They have a sketch style like Kids in the Hall or Upright Citizens Brigade. Strange, pushing the boundaries comedy wise, sometimes funny and sometimes not so funny.

            Yeah,

            As far as sketch comedy, I'd say the pinnacle of it was Mr. Show, and they still had about a 25% hit percentage, they were just clever with a lot more of their segues.

            I liked the "Drunken US History" series because all of them are centered around a really good idea that really works on a lot of levels and are well executed... personally I think it's the best thing Michael Cera or Jack Black ever did, and Jen Kirkman is a moonbat, but her episode is also great, though she was great on Home Movies.

              Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention
              of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved
              body, but rather, to skid in broadside, thoroughly
              used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming:
              "WOW...What a ride!"
