I so badly want my own set of Boba Fett/Mandalorian armor. I don't know how these guys do it or how much it costs, I just know I would be supremely happy if I had one.

I haven't trooped with the 501st, for quite some time now. The closest group to us is located thru Nashville, even though our garrison covers the mid-south of Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia. Our Garrison NEVER ever does anything close to us anymore, and we have a crappy car so it's hard for us to travel, and it's very expensive to rent vehicles.

I do miss it though, as it's sooo much fun.

You need to get after your CO and ask them to organize some events closer to you. That's what I did with this one. Most all of our events take place in Little Rock which is about 30 miles from my house. I just took the initiative and organized this event myself and it took off from there.

Most of our members here live in Nashville, or Memphis areas. I've tried, and it's like talking to a brick wall. . We used to do Toys for Tot's in Knoxville, and a few cons in the Smokie Mtn's in Gatlinburg here in east TN, but for a few years now, next to nothing. And when they do, it's extremely cliquesh (sp?), so that after the event at the after party, everyone breaks down into little groups, and we (myself, my wife and a few friends) get basicly ignored.

But that was a few years ago. I guess I could try again. We used to do the Christmas parade in Nashville, but both my wife and myself work retail, and you know how easy it is to get time off at that time of year....

But you do make a good point. Going trooping is like going to church, it's like a bath for your soul. You just feel better afterward. But the Children's hospitals are hard... but sooo worth it. It's just fun for everyone involved.

And Bob Eubanks...? that man is still an asshole.

Can't speak for the fem - scout but the female TK is Lauren and she is a good friend of mine. She was living in the Austin area but has recently moved back to Alabama. That is an old photo, I don't even think she has her TK armor anymore but she did recently have an amazing female predator costume that would blow your mind.

I didn't know she'd moved back to the MSG. Yeah, she's a really cool girl. Always used to come to events with different coloured hair every time. Blue, red, green; it was fun. What was great that when she was wearing her armor, they couldn't tell, so when she took off her helm, all the dudes were all just blown away..LOL !!!!
