    Reflections!

THought I would start a thread to have people post reflections from 2010.

Good DSA Year. Enjoyed the new DSA that have joined and the veterans who have expanded to the PS3 side. Norm pulled off a nice epic surprise that night..nice dramatic entry.

Had some amazing moments within the socom division (matches, training, etc.) and awesome fun nights...with the U2 fun nights being the most memorable and such a blast IMO

Good job Tony with overall Socom leadership and ND with taking my place as Colonel due to my RL conflicts with coaching.

Kudos to Boss with organizing the Fun nights and the PS3 division.

Thanks Eagle for teaching me my sniper ways....and I do believe the student has become the master..lol...;)

Overall good year DSA...looking forward to another. (968)

Its a privilege to be a part of such a great group of people. Thanks to Jim for bringing me into DSA and all you guys for showing me the ropes in Socom. I sucked for a while and the worst thing said to me was "oh APAT" LOL. Its nice having a group of friends that can travel with me wherever I go. Thanks for all the good times in 2010 DSA. I look forward to 2011

Thank you guys for everything, I will always enjoy being part of this wondeful clan that is like one huge brotherhood. Heres to more fun years in this clan for my words cannot express how much i've enjoyed myself throughout the years. Though I feel I have not been around as much these days I have enjoyed myself to the fullest and look forward to the years to come.

Though it pains me when I see members leave, I just want to say those who left in an unorthodox manner that this clan is like a brotherhood, It's not about the top dog or who is the most skilled. Whoever is the leader deserves the spot because they earned it through their attitude. I'm sure the members who have left know who they are.

Hey maybe they will announce Battlefront 3 in 2011?(I really wouldn't count on it, But hey man!. After TFU2 I dunno anymore nor do I try to care at this point).

I raise my controller and cup to the future of this clan.

yea thanks for the great year to all lots of fun playing about every game possible with at least 1 person from the clan as for mike dont get to cocky pretty sure if eagle picked up your tilly hed waste your ass 9/10 times hed probably even get me 2/10 times as for shocker he could probably get me 1/50 unless he was doing his super shocker stuff then hed probably get me 3/10 lol.

But on a serious note its been really cool for me as well being part of a mature group of ppl that like to game and arent complete idiots. I have to say complete cause Jim is not all there so it fits but yea cant wait for what 2011 holds for DSA and the PS3 side of things and as much as I like gaming and reallly like this clan if there is ever a spot in the ranks for me I would be thrilled to do my part to further help this clan into the new year and beyond. Oh Yea and

HAPPY NEW YEARS DSA hope you all either get shit faced drunk or whatever the hell you do this weekend get as much fun out of it as possible then tommorrow we can play some hangover mini golf.

You all know what a harrowing year 2010 has been for me. I am glad to see it go. As stated before though I joined DSA this year, and its one of my brightest moments. You guys are the greatest, and I'm so proud to be counted among you. I know I get angry and frustrated, but its only because I really wanna do well, especially in Socom, to impress you guys. When I hear "Great round Mandy" or "You saved us there Fett" you guys don't know how excited I get and how much that means. I've always been a team player, I want to be a leader and impress. Thats why I want to do so well, sometimes I lose it but only because I want to do well. So I can be spoke in the same sentence as APAT, Eagle, Mike, Jake, etc and be a guy someone really wants there when it counts the most. Thank you all , and hail the Dark Side Alliance into the new year.

It has been a great year for DSA this year and Im glad to have been part off it. The 360 guys kick ass. You all did a great job on MW2 and BO's looks like it is going to be even better.

I think my DSA new years resolution is going to try and play some games with the PS3 guys and get as many people as I can in DSA to play Star Wars: The Old Republic when it comes out in the spring.

Thanks to all that have helped and will continue to help support DSA. I am amazed at how the culture that has been built here lends itself to so much more than just gaming online together. I have said this before, but this small community we call DSA could really be a nice subject in an Organizational Behavior class.

Somehow this community has become a significant and real part of my life. Two years ago I would NEVER have said a GAMING based COMMUNITY would part of my life. That is because gaming does not really run deep in my soul. However, friendship, teamwork, competition and good times are at the center of my core values. And this is what DSA provides for me.

Thank you to Tony for keeping the Socom Battalion strong even during those times it might not be getting the most playing time. I am a starting to learn and appreciate your leadership style. I have never seen you over react and yet still somehow find a way to push us forward.

Thank you Keyser for being SO diligent at setting up practice scenerios. You put so much time thought and time into them. They are fresh and fun. You do an excellent job at explaining the objective and how they practice will work. I really admire how you continue to do this even when your real life has taken you away from the game right now.

In reflection...I am grateful that you all are still patient with me as I mess up all the time. I wish Mike had the time to continue to serve as Col. I am amazed at the progress APAT, Fett, Mandy, mdg, fitz, and yentis have all made. I wish I could develop at the rate you guys do. You all make us stronger. I am so glad to see some old skool guys like Norm and Deslock join in the group to give us all a chance to get to know you. It's cool finding another game like Terrorist Golf to play together. Jake and Eagle..your egos make me laugh. Broc your drinking nights are epic. Shock, Funky and Dooku you guys really lay it down...hopefully 2011 will give you some additional opportunities to kick ass. Jim...you've mad me laugh so many times and I am glad you have a thick skin cause we have so much fun at your expense. KG...I've learned you a good old soul I just like hearing your voice and that Gloria rattling off 100 rounds at a time. I learned first hand this clan has a BUNCH of tech savy guys that give better advice than the Geek Squad. APAT should NOT be a bartender...because he'll mix anything name it and then insist he put a lot of thought into it. The girls in this clan are dirty...in the nicest way and we need more of them (look at the porn thread). And I MISS BOB!

Please do me a favor. Find a safe way home tonight so you can tell me about all your fun tomorrow. As an old guy, I am staying in and spending the time with my family.

                      Happy New Year.

...So live, that when thy summons comes to join
                      The innumerable caravan, which moves
To that mysterious realm, where each shall take
His chamber in the silent halls of death,
Thou go not, like the quarry-slave at night,
Scourged to his dungeon, but, sustained and soothed
By an unfaltering trust, approach thy grave
Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch
About him, and lies down to pleasant dreams.

I remember footraces with Bob to kill the VIPS on Large Fallen most clearly, followed by his insane GF tearing into his ass for about 90 minutes while Mike and I listened, in rapt attention somewhere between laughing at the situation and worrying about poor bob's psyche.

                          Great year.

You guys were there through me through dating the crazy girl that just really fucked me up, and I appreciate it.

Sadly, I haven't been able to attend like I'd like to in months due to my new job, but I don't feel any less plugged in.

I haven't seen Rage in a while, which saddens me. Of course I never see Boss anymore, but I think that'll change when Twisted Metal comes out, at least until I put what is sure to be an indescribable beating on him in it.

I'm really proud of the SOCOM guys. It seemed for a while every weekend I was meeting some new player that was struggling to stay afloat, only to come back 3 weeks later and have them totally kicking ass.

Doesn't mean we are there, or everyone is always in the best of moods on SOCOM, but it's a tough tough game. I'm very impressed with the growth I've seen in Fitz, KG, APAT, and ND... I believe I've heard you all say "man I suck guys" and within weeks seen some really good round wins.

I've been getting good feedback on practices and keep making efforts to keep them fresh, relevant, and at least somewhat entertaining. Yes. You will have a crappy practice in there, because a lot of what we need to practice is stuff we suck at. Don't hesitate to suggest a practice. I have a ton of ideas running around, and I will fold your ideas into mine best I can.

It's great to finally have Norm around as well. I bought that stupid golf game and will eventually be on at the right time to get some.

You guys are family to me. I appreciate being a part of this group and look forward to many years of continued brotherhood. And sisterhood where applicable.

2010 was a rough year for the Warhawk battalion but those who are left are still going strong. We have won some games and lost some games. We have gotten some recruits and lost some members but we are still doing our thing. Hopefully 2011 will be filled with news of Starhawk and all kinds of good stuff. I am proud of the guys who are still here and the the strides that we have all made to become better players and better teammates and I am glad to say that everyone who is DSA is a good friend of mine and people who I consider family.
