Okay, I really, really like horror games. I don't really like horror or scary movies, but I love me some horror games. I guess because of just sitting back and just "watching" it like a movie, in a game you're actually immersed, and an active participant in it. :D
Oblivion certainly had it's moments, especially the Dark Brotherhood missions.
All the Resident Evil games rocked for me since the PS1. But in all truth 4 still has to be my personal fave. But I haven't beaten 5 yet as I recently got it.
Bioshock.
DAMN !.
This game blew my mind in it's depth and just pure awesomeness, plain and simple. I would've never thought a game could be that "smart", deep, and downright f'n cool. This game has layers upon layers of goodies. The PS3 has always astounded me from day 1 with it's graphics, and Bioshock takes full advantage of it's capabilities. It's dark, moody, and atmospheric. To stand there in a plexiglass tube and watch a whale just swim by is breathtakingly amazing ! I bought the game one afternoon, and literally stayed awake all night until morning to beat it. That's something I haven't done since the 90's with the first Nintendo. I haven't bought the second one because there's several collectors boxed sets at a nearby store, and I'm waiting for them to mark them down.
Deadspace.
Playing the first one now in mission 4, and I already cannot wait to get the next one. Basically nothing more than Resident Evil in space. But I love Resident Evil, and I love space. Although I have to say the zero-g missions suck, which is why they gave him jet boots in Deadspace2. Listening to your guy gasp for air in a "space suit" sux. Until you figure out where you're supposed to go, you're going to die. A lot.
Red Dead Redemption Undead nightmare.
Just lotsa good zombie shoot'em ups. Pure zombie killin' fun. It just doesn't get any better than this.
Your thoughts..?
