This years Comic-Con is probably our best chance for Battlefront 3.
If it isn't announced as Spark Unlimiteds new project, then I will pretty much be abandoning all hope.

Hey Battlefrontians, I apologize for the lack of updates lately as I just got married a week ago so things have been extremely crazy around here. I am back from our honeymoon now though and ready to report!

During the latest E3 there were a lot of people who were extremely confident that LucasArts will be announcing Battlefront 3 at this years E3 and well, they just might be.

According to a post on StarWars.com, LucasArts will be “unveiling an exciting announcement”.. could this be Battlefront 3??

Enter the Galaxy with studio head Jorg Neumann (Kinect Publishing) and lead producer Craig Derrick (LucasArts) as they discuss the highly anticipated title with USA Today’s Mike Snider, sharing new game play from the iconic Star Wars universe, revealing an all-new mode, and unveiling an exciting announcement. All attendees will receive a limited-edition poster. Room 32AB
Of course this announcement could very well be something to do with the Kinect Star Wars game, but you never know!

Description of Spark Unlimited's new project: "We are using our experiences to develop a high-profile, popular game property for a major publishing partner. With the public disclosure of the title still months away, we are looking for innovative and creative professionals to bring to life a Triple-A game for an awaiting, highly critical audience. Employing agile techniques (SCRUM) we are developing this product utilizing our experiences with the Unreal engine."

The previous description said something to the effect of "developing a 3rd person action/adventure game for a high-profile science fiction franchise"

LucasArts recently purchased the Unreal engine.

Spark Unlimited also has a countdown to Comic-Con at the bottom of their site.

It could just be a bunch of false hope though. The internetz really like to piece things together and make it seem like it points to BF3.

The main thing that bothers me is that Spark Unlimited still has a lot of job openings. I'm not sure if they would announce a game that they are not equipped to produce.

Looks like guys that appear in the character endings are popping up as the new guys, think I'm gonna go look through the ending again to get an idea of who else is gonna be part of this expanded roster.

Battlefront 3.net loves to make hype to speculations. They've been doing that for years now since the website opened up. They one time had a 'so called receipt' where someone pre-ordered Battlefront 3 from gamestop and an actual phone call which I call fake.

But hey i'm willing to stay positive!

Yeah, I thought that receipt was fake too. I'm staying positive too though.

I hope that someone has the balls to ask the LA panel about BF3. If I were going, I would just be like "Hey, you guys know you can probably make massive amounts of money if you just give your fans what they want and make Battlefront 3, right? I'm just sayin'...it's a good business decision."

I've heard rumors that LA is getting a little tight with money and that they're really putting all their resources into The Old Republic and banking on that being a huge hit.
I think they realized how big of a failure TFU was and that they need to stick with what works and make the old games newer, like BF, KOTOR and hell, even Republic Commando.
