I'm not going to post on the other thread, because I don't know if I should or not, but I am sure that Ratix can read this. Get games for the PS3. We have at the minimum 6 ppl per night and that is if a nuclear holocaust is occuring at the time. I've said it before, and I'll repeat it again; this is the first and only clan I've ever been part of. My kind of people and my kind of games. Great senses of humor at least on the PS3 side, and Hell I'd probably invite any of these guys to come visit me (even Jim), so at least I think I've gained that bond with all of the guys here.

I can't speak for the rest of the guys, but damn it people, let's make an appreciation thread to tell Ratix what you think about what made you want to be DSA. Let's get something positive going and get more people like us to join.

And I'm sure Jim or Mike will spell check it for me; and Eagle or Boss will redirect my thread to where it belongs. Sorry I can't ever seem to put stuff where it goes.

I might as well be the first one to try and post here. :

Who brought me to the DSA when I was playing Killzone was probably Eagle. I gamed with him a lot on KZ2 and man; was it nice not having a 12 year old kid yelling in your ear every 10 seconds on the mic. I believe he then invited me into KZ practice followed by a tryout and I got to say all the people like me that were involved in this clan were very nice.

Then I checked out the site and thought; "Damn I didn't even know people even spent this kind of time creating websites for video game communities these people, they really have their shit together". So I was like Hell, "A bunch of people like me avoiding the after hours life involved in alternate realities just trying to relax. this is my cup of tea here". I have enjoyed every minute of being here; checking in on pc, ipad, and phone daily.

So when I see the guy that made all this possible getting pissed off; it needs to be brought to his attention that a lot of us really are grateful for the clan, and what it's done for us all. Tuesdays for me at least are ended very nicely with socom. With the guys, it's like bowling night; except only a few are drunk and not the whole team. Well that's it from me I guess, and again RaTix, thanks for letting us into your world and gaming with us in ours.

When I joined in 2005 Star Wars Battlefront was the 1st online game I had ever played. Me and my roommate, Juggalo for those of you who remember or have read through some of the OLD threads, had been playing for about 2 or 3 months when we came across the DSA. Juggalo joined 1st so I got an interesting insight into the clan, one that most outsiders didn't get to see. I saw how well organised and well fun their practices were so I decided to join. I had my tryouts the same week as Reaver(Soul Rebel I believe at the time) and 1 week before Jeter. It was fun having me and Juggalo both practicing in the same living room, glancing over at the others tv to see where they were to go attack them LOL. A few times Dirt even brought his tv over and we had all 3 of us attend practice in the same living room, which was fun until I spilled bong water on his PS2 and had to replace it(not my fault) What I enjoyed most about being part of this great clan was the instant respect you got just by the tag on your name, people knew you were to be respected(because you were respectful of others) and feared. If you had 2 or 3 DSA on one team you were going to win...period, and God help you if you let me start sniping from the island on Kashyyyk(only game I was ever a good sniper on). We were more then a clan, it was a family...if you went after 1 you went after us all.

Now I look at it as a much larger extended family. I had been hoping for a game that could unite us as 1 clan again and with Ratix pulling us in the BF3 direction I hope that we can again all be united and pulling in one direction. I appreciate all that the DSA (and by extension Ratix) has meant to me as a gamer and will do anything in my power to help it survive, grow and prosper.

I actually never thought I'd join a clan. Zabka convinced me, I just didn't want to join the wrong group of gamers, I wanted to join a positive group of gamers that has striven on teamwork, and unity on the battlegrounds. This basic concept has always held true no matter what game we played.

I actually learned alot from the Ratix and those in the Council even when the Council was once the Imperial Guard.

I'm with kamui, I never thought I would be joining a clan until my brother rage got me into. And he was introduced by brocman I believe. And since then if we're not Hanging out at my brothers house we're playing online with the clan. And just recently kg came and spent a few days in dc and us. This clan is filled with great people and I'm fortunate enough to game with both sides of the clan seeing how I have both Xbox and ps3.
So thank you ratix, I love this clan

I have to agree 150% that RaTiX deserves every last bit of thanks and honor that can be given to him.

I love the D.S.A., and all the guys in it. More so then I do my own family to tell you the truth. I don't have many friends around where I live because all of the people in my hometown are either so uptight, or so fucking white trash that I cannot stand them. Then I got to be really good friends with Deslock. He told me about the clan and was always talking about Socom, and SWBF. The great group of guys you all were, and said "Hey you like games; why dont you just give these guys a shot". Then a few months later when I got the internet. I came to the website and signed up. That summer I played soooo much socom combined assault, it was insane. Got really well aquainted with Tony, Kamui, and Muncher. I also played on the 360 for a time when Unreal Tournament 3 was a group. Good times there too playing with Solo and all the other 360 guys. a lot of late nights spent on CoD MW. And then I started playing Socom Confrontation with everyone; Apat, Jim, Broc, Eagle, Kg, ect, and the Warhawk guys when I get the rare chance to game with you guys.

Although I may not be one of the guys who post all the time. Or has the time to be on my ps3 every night. (as much as I wish I could) I love the D.S.A. and owe RaTiX way more then my thanks for all the friends I have made; and all the good times I have had due to the website and clan.


So thank you RaTiX for all you have done for all of us in this wonderful clan that you given us the priviledge of being in. You have my loyalty to the end man; I cannot thank you enough.

I joined DSA at a tough time in my life. Had just bought a house and broke up with my GF shortly there after. So I had a 3bd house to myself, which may seem cool but is actually quite lonely. I spent a lot of time drinking, by myself, and thinking. Thinking too damn much actually. An idle mind is a scary thing sometimes...lol. It had been a while since I played any games online when MAG came out. Played it for a while because I liked the whole teamwork aspect of it. One day I found myself on a team with Jim and Keyser. We were calling stuff out and whatnot and then Jim got TK'd.... I know right? Then the same guy TK'd him again...lol. Jim was carrying on and Keyser, calm as ever, was trying to cool him down and everyone with a mic was laughing. Anyways, Jimbo directed me to the site. I had never had ANY interest in joining a clan but checked it out. Jim got me to buy Socom and I was hooked. DSA for life.

The clan helped me through that tough time. Kept my mind off things long enough to get over the crap I was dealing with. Within a year I moved from Fargo to Minneapolis. Again, the clan was there. Being in DSA helped me make the decision to move, which was overdue(Fargo sucks balls). It was a nice feeling to be able to make friends that you wouldn't have to leave behind. Games are just the vehicle for the friendships we've made and RaTix you made all that possible. For that, we all owe you very much.

APAT...Well said. It is exactly how I feel.

Being older, video games were not a real part of my life. I never played online before but for some reason decided to pick up Socom Confrontation. I can't tell you how many games I got kicked out of because I had no idea what the hell I was doing. I ran into some cool guys that showed me the ropes. They had clan tags but they simple played together as friends in respawn only and weren't really a clan. But then I ran into Tony and the gang on what I now believe was a recruiting night. Not only was everyone cool, they liked to compete and win. Sportsmanship and teamwork was central to the plan for victory. Having just retired from playing the PSP / NPPL circuit I was HUNGRY for competition and found it in Socom with DSA. But as APAT pointed out, it is more about the friendships than the games now.

I like this. I actually am very lucky to be a part of this clan. When I first joined in 2005. SWBF was my very first game on the PS2, and I had just gotten the internet adapter for the console. I played solo for a few months then came across a DSA server. Spent some time in there and then I met Frell and Derrick I believe. I failed my first try-out with swbfdirt. The next week I went at it again and I got a break. I was 14 when I joined which was still 4 years shy of the respected age limit. wasn't expecting it, but it wasn't going to stop me from trying to become a DSA. I liked the structure, the CoC. And the maturity level of everybody in the clan. Still do. Growing up at a young age as a DSA. I was fortunate.

What really got me to love being a DSA. Was being able to go into any server, and even if you had a minimum of 3 DSA on your team. 99% of the time it was a guaranteed win. Teamwork, communication, execution... FLAWLESS. It was fun and competitive. Even getting on at any time of the day on a random day. There was always a DSA in a DSA server.

Later Wednesday night, after I realized it was a practice. I thought to myself. Well almost every game I've ever gotten. Was because of Ratix and his direction. And in which VERY VERY Successful. I always used to be excited about a division addition, or transition. I forgot what that was like. So I decided to do something about it. Prior to the post. (Irony) but I'm happy I did because gaming on MW3 the other night with a good few of the DSA reminded me how much fun and comforting it was to be apart of something better than just a clan.

I too never thought I would join a clan. Mostly because the day I was invited to try out for the clan was the first day I had gotten online gaming for my ps2 and SWBF. But Phoenix came off as a nice and respectful player when he asked if I would be interested. Too this day I never regret taking up that opportunity and joining this clan because I found of group of gamers who were very good and respectful. When the SWBF game started to fade off, the clan started to move on and I disappeared for about a year. But when I got my 360 and COD4, I came right back to this clan to see if they had a division because of that great unity I experienced in SWBF. When I returned, I was welcomed back by those who had remembered me which was great because I wasn't sure if anyone would remember me since I was gone for a year. It felt like coming home to my family after a long trip. After 5 years, I am still proud to call this clan my gaming home. So thank you Ratix and all others who have played a major part in keeping this clan alive!
