Finally, after such a long time.

After completing my Stormy Armor, and finishing a Royal Guard costume for one of my friends; I FINALLY GOT TO ORDER MY TIE ARMOR!!!!

    WOOOOT!!!!!:D :D :D :D

I already have the Helmet, hoses, chest box, comm-pad, and the Imperial officers belt, I'm finally going to get my chest and back armor.

Now the hard part is going to be; having to build a full size Tiefighter, to go along with it. ;)

Well, I still need to add the shoulder patches, arm comlink and code cylinders, but I did finally manage to get it 99% done:

    *whew*

    Tie.

Now I have to start on a Imperial Naval trooper for my lady, and a Boba Fett for a buddy... 8O

Thanks Shoot. The trick is, if you want to, you CAN do this too. Trust me, it's not really that expensive, and to come in and see all the kids (and adults too) faces light up with smiles, it makes every dime you spent, and all the work you put into it; worth every bit.

Most of our garrisons are full of people that will help you make these wonderful costumes as much as they can, and are happy to do it.

In the 501st, we do alot of charity work, and I promise you, the first time you go into a childrens hospital, you will know that all this was worth it. Granted, at times it can be absolutely heart breaking. Every time I see that 501st video with that sweet 'lil guy asking Vader if he'll stay with him, it takes every thing I have in me not to tear up, and sometimes we do have to go outside and shed a tear, where the kids can't see us. But the joy and happiness we bring to these poor sweet kids, makes whatever sadness we go through worth it.

Some folks think of the Empire as evil, but to others, we are heroes.
The piccy in my sig says it all. And honestly, it was the best damn money I've ever spent. As my Lady said, "$600.00 isn't that much, to make a dream come true." And damn, if she wasn't right.

And besides, playing BF with the actual costumes you own, just makes it that much damn cooler. And ya get to meet alot of the movie stars of Star Wars, and besides, chicks dig the armor. Trust me ;) they do.

        Take care and God bless,

        Tie.

Very nice Deslock. I'm finally getting the finnishing touches on my Vader costume. I just got this little piece off of e-bay the other day.

I've got to finnish making the cod piece, build the circuit board for the chest box, and put the satin lining in the cape and I should be done, for now at least.

I have a rendezvous with Death, at some disputed barricade. It may be he shall take my hand and lead me into his dark land, and close my eyes and quench my breath, it may be I shall pass him still. I have a rendezvous with Death, on some scarred slope of battered hill. And I to my pledged word am true, I shall not fail that rendezvous.

That's soooo awesome, I'd love to make a Vader, just a 'lil too rich for my blood right now. But I look forward to you joining us!!!

The 501st is like the DSA. We stand for brotherhood, understanding, and a belief that you are part of something greater than yourself.

And you get to wear some really cool costumes.!!!

I dunno, it's kinda wierd. When you put on that suit for the first time, you really understand how exactly cool all of this is. And when you see the faces on all the 'lil ones light up, you'll know why you did all of this.

Some may call us geeks; and nerds.( By the way, which is odd, myself, and another guy in my group called "Pitbull" never get called that to our faces, lol) But when you see all the love directed to you, you'll know exactly why you chose the Imperial way. Once you're bitten by the Empire bug, you'll never go back...lol.

            Good luck,

            Tie.
