Mikey posted this on my Facebook wall and I have to say it is interesting to think about but I feel it kind of ruins the originals for me IF you take it to heart. It does give some good, possibilites, but what do you guys think? Agree? Disagree?

Some things should be left to die on the internet and this is one of them. Given at the time that he wrote this in 2005 there was less resources to go by and also it is the internet and everyone is aloud to have there opinion. But I would not of re-post this when there are things like Star Wars Wiki which I will be citing today and Star Wars Time Line Gold both great resources for SW history and good all around reads.
In the hope to prevent any miss information that that "story" may make I will make a few things straight.
As we now know, the rebel Alliance was founded by Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Bail Organa.
"Some of the Alliance's core founders, such as senators Bail Prestor Organa and Mon Mothma of the Loyalist Committee, joined the Delegation of 2000 in its opposition against the authoritarian leadership of then-Chancellor Palpatine." http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Allia...e_the_Republic
What can readily be deduced is that their first recruit, who soon became their top field agent, was R2-D2.
R2-D2 is a plot device/ MacGuffin. He is us (the view of the move). "On the commentary soundtrack to the 2004 DVD release of Star Wars, writer and director George Lucas describes R2-D2 as "the main driving force of the movie ... what you say in the movie business is the MacGuffin ... the object of everybody's search".[9] In TV interviews, Hitchcock defined a MacGuffin as the object around which the plot revolves, but, as to what that object specifically is, he declared, "the audience don't care".[10] Lucas, on the other hand, believes that the MacGuffin should be powerful and that "the audience should care about it almost as much as the duelling heroes and villains on-screen".[11]" [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MacGuffin"]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MacGuffin[/ame]
Leia's own mission, as she says in that holographic message, is to pick up Obi-Wan and take him to Alderaan. Or so she thinks. Actually, her father just wants her to meet Kenobi, which up to this point she never has.
Obi-Wan has spent the last 20 years in the Tattoine desert, keeping watch over Luke Skywalker and trying to decide on one of the three available options:
A) If Luke shows no significant access to the Force, then leave him alone in obscurity
B) If Luke shows real Force ability, then consider recruiting him as a Jedi. The rebellion needs Jedi and it needs them now. But, if Luke shows any signs of turning out like his father, then:
C) sneak into his house one fine night and chop his head off. With great regret but it'll save a lot of trouble later on.
Knowing this to be the case, Bail Organa (perhaps at the insistence of his wife) has found excuses not to send Leia to Ben for assessment of Jedi potential, largely for fear of option C.
Until he attends the briefing on Yavin, Luke has no way of knowing that hardened combat pilots would consider that nearly impossible. To him it's easy. Obi-Wan, who saw Anakin's performance in the Pod Race, is nervous.
Fortunately, before coming to Tattoine, R2 had already arranged transport, which is waiting at Mos Eisley under the command of the Rebellion's other chief field agent and espionage asset. Chewbacca.
Given his background, it makes no sense that Chewbacca would spend the crucial years of the rebellion as the second-in-command to (sorry Han) a low-level smuggler. Unless it was his cover. In fact, Chewie is a top-line spy and flies what is in many ways the Rebellion's best ship.
How does Han come to own a ship like that? Actually, he only thinks he does – the real owner is Chewie.
Side note the ship seen in the prequiles most likely is the Falcon but at that time named Stellar Envoy.
"By 29 BBY, the vessel was both owned and used secretly by members of the Senate and Jedi, as part of an organization known as the Republic Group.[8] Tobb Jadak and Reeze Duurmun became the primary crew of the ship — known then as the Stellar Envoy — for the next decade. In 19 BBY, the ship was present during the Battle of Coruscant, landing at the Republic Executive Building docking bay on Coruscant shortly after the shuttle that brought Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Supreme Chancellor Palpatine to safety[20][26] after their crash landing in the nose of the Invisible Hand." http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Millennium_Falcon
That is all I have to say about that Im now going to go and for taking the time to do this."Thrawn: "Do you know the difference between an error and a mistake, Ensign?"
Colclazure: "No, sir."
Thrawn: "Anyone can make an error, Ensign. But that error doesn't become a mistake until you refuse to correct it." [points at Pietersen, Rukh kills him] "Dispose of it. The error, Ensign, has now been corrected. You may begin training a replacement."

Nice job Cotto and you deserve the time off to attend to more important business now. I could tell from the read there are a lot of untrue or inaccurate topics discussed. I’m just glad you took the time to research and explain most to us Cotto."Do on to others before they do on to you.”

Sorry solo but I read a lot of SW history so it hurt to read that. Its fine if it was fan fiction but to repost that after 7 years with no edits is not right
