Hiatus

Well this is a post I never thought I would be making but as of yesterday I have resigned from my position as Moff and I am taking an indefinite hiatus. With the recent changes in my life, ie my break up with my girlfriend, I need some time to figure out my life and where it is going. I moved to NYC for her and though our breakup was amicable I still need some time to re-evaluate my life and where I am going from here. So for awhile I am going to focus on a project here at work and getting myself back in shape. Also with my move next month and looking for my next place I know I will be super stressed out. Plus I feel I need to get out and enjoy the city a little while I can and be young.

DSA has been an important part of my life for the last four years. I love gaming but right now my heart is just not in it and I will not half ass anything because that is not how norm and Phoenix trained me. I will be on every once and awhile and of course will play with you guys but my gaming time will be less than maybe 5 hours a week if even that.

This is not goodbye but I wanted to let you guys know why I am disappearing. Hopefully, once I get my things back in order and figure a few things out I can come back, though don't know if it will be full time but I will try.

I will continue to run the Fantasy Football league because that is a great distraction for myself so if you want in please PM me and let me know.

Man I will say this sucks. You were my first contact with DSA. Your leadership has been a pillar in the MW3 battalion and has what made the game so much fun to play. I think of you as a dear friend and if you ever just want to chill out and play some ME3 or find yourself in Florida all you have to do is ask.

I will do my best to lead in your fashion. I have a big kilt to fill.

You have spent four years here with us. Your dedication, loyalty, and friendship not only brings honor to yourself, but also everyone else here.

Life sucks. It has, and unfortunately always will.

What makes life better is the family and friends that you have. And here, you have both. You might be gone for a bit, but you won't ever be forgotten.
There will always be a place at the DSA table for you when or if you deem to venture back. WE ARE HERE FOR YOU !, Never ever think you are alone.
Because you're not.

I've been there, and done that also. And I know firsthand how emotionally devastating a break up can be. As a man, you put up a "nice" smile and tell everyone "It'll be okay, I'm fine", while deep down inside you're bleeding bitter tears. We completely understand that you need to take a break from everything, because you have to right now.

Take all the time out that you need to heal.

We'll be here when you get back, and have a place saved aside for you.

Take care of yourself, do some hard thinking and heal your mind and your heart.
It's not easy, but it takes time. As the old saying goes, time heals all wounds.
I know that's NOT what you want to hear right now, but it is true.

You ARE a DSA Knight. A true brother to us all here, and I salute you.

Get your mind and life figured out, and get your shit straight with yourself.

The Knights of the DSA are indeed special people.

I have never known in my entire life a special, kind, and loving group of people that I've had the gift of God to know, than the people here in the DSA.

And Solo beyond totally deserves that honor.

He has given over four years of his life to his Clanmates here, and dedicated himself to help grow our 360 division, and help his fellow Clanmates.

To help us all grow, be better, and most of all; to help better ourselves and help each other, and himself.

No one could ever ask more than that, and for that; I salute him and his sacrifice. Life is brutal, unkind, and unjust...But we are NOT.

Because most of all, no matter how hateful life can be; we stand together; side by side.

And Solo has proven that fact also; due to over four years of being there for us; and why I salute him, as well as everyone else here.

Because you ARE better men, and hold yourselves to a higher ideal.

That is why I consider you all Knights, and beyond proud to consider you all my dearest friends and brothers.

The DSA brings a good bunch of quality of people together here. Sure some show their true faces after 2-3 year, but we have this brotherhood that makes us inseparable. Whether or not we have the same interests outside of gaming we'll still be here for you Solo.

I brought MW3 to surprise you, but...I guess I was too late lol. God knows when I'll throw that game back in.
Phoenix And Norm have taught you well, i've learned alot from their leadership as well because they so happened to be the leaders of Squad 1 back in the days of SWBF2, and Reaver took over after Norm performing excellent.

I may not know you very well, and Hell; I may not know you at all. But one thing I can see is a man that is hurting inside, and I can understand that. You may be thinking "What does a 16 year old kid know about love; and being with a woman, and all that stuff ?." Well last year I found out that my girlfriend of 4 long years has been cheating on me; and I had planned to fly back to the US to visit her and spend a month with her; unfortunately that never happened. Since then, my step Dad of 6 years and my Mom are getting a divorce. And some of us I'm sure know what that feels like. So my thoughts and good hopes go out to you Solo; and may the force be with you .
