Kurio, I am a total jeans and T-shirt kind of girl too. I have always been tomboyish and not terribly girly. Therefore, unless I dress to the 9s and put on all the eye make-up, I get overlooked and ignored mostly. I normally don't bother with a lot of make-up because I spend most of my time at work, and I'm not trying to impress anyone there. And I hate skirts.

It doesn't hurt that all the women who have hit on Des since we've been together he wouldn't touch anyway. He was wearing his leather jacket one time (he looks damn sexy in it) and this white haired granny game up to him, and started rubbing his arm, telling him he was beautiful. LOL!Comment

Nice Daz, make me look like a giant frikken' perv.
After my divorce, I dated women my age, and younger women too. I just found that younger women are just more fun. All the women my age or close to my age that I dated, had waaaay too much emotional baggage, looking for someone to help them pay the bills, or to help them with the kids. Usually all three combined. I had just gotten free from a totally rotten relationship, and I was just lookin' to date and have some fun.
I was in a relationship with a wonderful Canadian girl, but the distance between us became a problem, as we just couldn't see each other that much. So she broke it off. And then I met Daz. And that was that.
Daz is the literal epitome of fun. She is always the life of the party, and has a smile that can light up the entire room. If there are some shenanigans or pranks going on, I can be certain about 99.9% of the time Daz is right in the middle of them, if not the ringleader. And being a geek just sealed the deal for me. I had to marry her. You just don't let anyone that special get away, as I told all the guys in my for my wife thread:
General Chat. All are welcome to discuss anything they wish here. Meet friends and organize game times.
I'm just a big kid at heart, and I will always be one. I don't have any friends my age. All the guys I know my age are a bunch of old farts. Their idea of "fun" is taking a nap. I like vidya games, collecting toys, playing pranks (I just got fussed at at work over one today..LOL !) Lego's, model kits, comic books, and all that kinda crap. I don't know IRL any man my age that likes geek stuff. If I were to ask any of them who "Deadpool" was, they'd probably answer: "Is that a swimming pool they throw dead people in ?" And they'd all think "Transformers" are those things on power poles. And they'd all sure as Hell never dress up in a Storm trooper costume.
Daz just doesn't tolerate my geekiness, she supports and helps me with it. And I adore her for it. On my last birthday, she went out of her way to be able to get the very last Lego Monster kit I needed to complete my collection. And her surprising me one Christmas by getting me my Tiefighter pilot chest box, armor, and belt, just blew me away. And also shares my love for cats and yard hauntin' and Halloween.
If you are lucky enough to find a geek girl, snatch her up, and never let go. Most are rare, kind, loving, and gentle.
But most of all, they are a blessing from God. :)
Even if they drive you crazy from time to time. As I'm quite sure we do that to them also. :DLast edited by Deslock; 01-18-2014, 02:32 AM.

What sums it up best? Just mixed feelings? The age difference bothers some people, but I don't really care what they think. I got to marry my best friend, and as far as maturity, we're on the same level. We work well together and hardly fight at all. He and I get on better than a lot of couples we know. Sure, we've weathered some storms, but we've weathered them together and come out stronger on the other side. I know some people also seem to have issue with marriage in itself. Some people don't seem to think it's worth the time and effort, that it's doomed to fail. I tend to believe if a thing is worth doing, it's worth doing right and seeing through all the way.Last edited by Deslock; 01-19-2014, 12:34 AM.Comment

Perhaps I should have trailed that last post with a LOL or J/K. Was going for laughs, that is all. There was no need to remove your <3 for me from the shoutbox, lol."POWER!!! UNLIMITED POOWWWEEEER!!!!!!

Aww, I wasn't mad at you! I took that <3 out of the shout box before I read your post. I took it out of context a little. That is the danger of reading texts or posts. I was half asleep and I am a little defensive about me and Des because I have had to fight so hard for acceptance of our relationship. So it's my fault for misinterpreting the meaning behind your post. I took that <3 out of the shout box because I thought people would think I was sucking up to you or trying to flirt.Last edited by Deslock; 01-19-2014, 12:36 AM.Comment
