6 years ago, I married my best friend. We have had some wonderful ups and some very painful downs, but we have perservered through it together. Through it all, we have come out stronger in our faith and our love for each other. We have made great friends, cherished memories and bulit a beautiful life together. Happy Anniversary Des. Well you guys honestly make me feel hopeful about myself lol. I think I have met that lady for me, but she lives a distance away so I honestly haven't proposed a relationship yet. Maybe I should....?

Thanks, guys. It's nice to be on the site as well. I wasn't sure if Des would want me here, because I was afraid he'd think I was impeding on his "guy time". But everyone has been super welcoming, and I appreciate it. It's nice to be able to share in this part of Des's life, since I know how much you all mean to him.

Yes, it is a lot of work, but it's worth it when you have something real and meaningful to work on. Des and I were friends before we became lovers, and I think it gave us a base upon which to build something lasting.

Kamui, I wish you all the luck. Des and I started out as a long distance couple, and we would be on the phone for hours just talking about anything and everything. Let her know how you feel, if you haven't already. Otherwise, you might end up in the dreaded "friend zone". He came and visited me when I turned 21 and it meant so much to me. He let me know right off the bat that he liked me and was interested in being romantic with me.

But like I said, we were friends first, and let everything else come in time. Lots of cards and letters, and small romantic gestures will help let her know that you're thinking of her. If you're really interested in making it work, one of you will have to move closer to the other, or find a mutually exclusive middle ground.

That's how I ended up in Tennessee. And I've been very happy to be here. It sucks being so far away from my family, but I would do it again. ;)

Daz has been the light of my life, my sun and my stars. Her sense of humor has always amazed me. It never fails to amaze me, even after all these years.

I never know what to expect next, as her sense of humor never leaves me wondering what's next for me.
