the ps2 patch will fix those various issues such as the BUDDY LIST.
maybe they can get it to actually work. when i say join buddy's game it sends me to a random server.
also they may smooth out some technical problems, or other minor changes. nothing big like levels or anything just changes to parts of the game...nothing too exciting :(

There may be some hope yet for a PS2 patch. Searching around the LA forums tonight when I went to the tech support section. In a thread where many people were complaining about PS2 updates (or lack there of) a LA Admin (or some special person) said that he'd pass the request for a patch on to Pandemic.

If I'm playing a game on April 12th with 32 AI, it'll have worked. If we have an writen update in 3 weeks, it works.

But most likely we'll be screwed over.

perhaps if had an idea of what to write and where to send it, many member of this clan could contact said group
i mean if 30 people say something from a group, it still means something. perhaps the words from the greates clan in the game (parts 1 and 2!!) might urge their actions
perhaps a boycott of battlefront 3?? *no treason intended*
          what say you?

Fizzo did something similar to your idea, Devilsfan. With Battlefront 1, Fizzo had an in with some developer that worked for Pandemic's SWBF team. But Fizzo said that since SWBF2 came out, he has been unable to contact him, which make your idea harder to do.

I checked out Pandemic's website and there was no "Contact Us" thing. I guess the only way to get something to them is through Lucas Arts or the producers of one of their games.

                  Which is kinda sad.

If you look at games like Resident Evil 4, or Hell, even "Destroy all humans", which is also made by Pandemic, you can truly see what the PS2 is still capable of, which is still pretty damn awesome.

A complete lack of support for the PS2, and even a complete lack of communication, for the customers who purchased their product in good faith, is reprehensible at best. PS2 owners aren't asking for the world, just "when, or if" they're going to fix problems in their own game, which should've been fixed in the first place(I.E. wall glitches, and so on).

I've said this before, I didn't want Jedi as playable characters, Hell I didn't like them being in BF1 as NPC's. I didn't want space battles, as I knew they'd just be a shadow, of what they could be.

But people are like that. Folks wanted "playable Jedi", they wanted "space battles", they wanted less vehicles, as folks were bitching about HWG's being whores(even though they were using them against other players, not vehicles). Rather than make HWG's more valuable against vehicles, and weak against soldiers; as we ALL wanted, they removed the vehicles instead. :x

And folks wanted "new" maps, and now bitch because the "old" maps folks loved, were "removed". As the old saying goes, "You can't have your cake, and eat it too.

Now we can barely communicate online without sounding like Cylons, and the so called "buddy list" sends you into random rooms, instead of where your friends actually are, and now you can hardly give orders to the A.I. But hey, now you've gotten big "glowing" awards, that announce you to the enemy, now with annoying sounds, that you cannot "turn off".

As I said many, many times before, be careful what you ask for, you might just get it. :?

                  GAH!!!!!! Calgon, take me away!!!!

                  Tie.

Actually, in the Remote Server options, you can turn off player awards.

Hay, maybe if we did that for the Jedi server, people wouldn't Wookie glitch as much... hmmm. :?:

I knew this would happen. Smart, or stupid, Sony has decided, due to copyright protection issues, to delay until November. Can you say "Christmas Zombie" rush sales? Arghhhhh!!! :x

I'm glad they're waiting, but this move is soooo very transparent as to sales.

I figured they might do this, as a simple push to raise sales, while there will be a "shortage" of systems, so mark my words, you'll see EBay sales blow through the roof, as "Christmas Zombies" will go insane trying to get this damn thing. Argghhh!!!!

The whole argument about "copy protection" is pure bullshit, as yet no one has the technology to "pirate" blu-ray discs yet. But it will inflate sales through the roof.

I'll give 'em some credit for not releasing it this month like they said. At least it won't be completely rushed. And it's not like Microsoft is building the system so it should be fine.

But it looks like I'll be having to get it in February. I will not set aside 400 dollars just to have a clerk tell me "Sorry, but they're sold out."
