I've been around a lil. Running with Stryker and the guys on evenings
Started the new job as a Chemistry Technician for an automotive company.
They practically give you all the overtime you can dream of. It's really great, and the stuff we do is cool.
I still wanna play DUST.
Goddamnit CCP! Move it to PS4 now!!Last edited by Deslock; 12-06-2014, 12:50 AM.sigpic

I have like over a million SP, and absolutely no idea where to place the points. . And I suck. I need the back up. I miss Mishy and Deezy also.
After all this.... that you still haven't teased us with at least a smidgen of your Toy Theater work!! Lol
Dude, and I promise you, these sets are huge ! Daz has been at me for almost 5 months now to get the pirate cove out of our living room, heh. The castle is big, but it's not heavy. It's just I'm trying to figure out if I want to give it a moat or not. And I've got not one, not two, but three mansions. RaTix's being the largest and most complicated. Not by building and painting it, but getting all the appliances and miniature furniture. I'm ready to get it all finished, but it's either been too cold, or raining almost every damn day, and Daz has already threatened to kill me if I spray paint inside the house, even though I'm sore tempted to.
And trust me, the guys at the 118th site wanna see my piccy's also. The crane set for BF3/4 I have is over three feet tall. With these projects, the Devil is always in the details. When I started this, I had absolutely no idea just how hard it would be to find the furniture and accessories in the proper scale. Everything is either just a bit too big, or too small, and just doesn't look right. So some of them I've had to make by hand. I had no idea just how much time, money, and effort it would take to do this. But I promise you, they're amazing. My personal faves have to be the fast food restaurant and the DSA barracks.
I have all the parts and supplies to finish the spaceport, now I just need the time to build it. The DSA spaceport is going to be the biggest set over all of them.
Now I know just how hard it is for the "Robot Chicken" producers to make all this props and sets, but they're lucky that it's their job, and they get paid and funded to do it. I've had to do this all on my own time off and money, but damn, it's worth it. Finding the proper scale beds, folding chairs, bathroom equipment.... I've got TV's, laptops, military bunks, sofa's; you name it. It's just taken a long time to find, make, and buy it all.
I was talking to Daz about this issue this very afternoon, and she agrees that I should take some teaser pics, or just make a few small comics so y'all can see just how much I have, and what I have done. Yentis was joking with me last night, saying he should stomp everything, to make me start all over. So when it warms up a bit or stops raining, I'll take some pics and post them up, just so you guys can see I'm NOT making all this up. It's all real, I promise you. You guys know me. I'm many things, but a liar is not one of them.
The first set was just something I through together quickly as a joke. I'm deathly serious about these sets, they have to be perfect. I won't just make shit and just throw it out there for y'all. You guys and gals are the best !, and deserve the very best I can give you. These projects of mine is my gifts to to y'all, and all the great visitors we have here. Yes, it's taken two years, but you all know a great movie is made in a year. And when you all see what I've done, it will blow you all away ! :D
But I do give in, I'll take some piccy's. So there . :pLast edited by Deslock; 12-06-2014, 12:51 AM.

Too bad I don't live near you ( that I know of, at least) or I would help you with it all. I'm an artist as well, taking commissions. At one time I helped a friend assemble and paint a whole War Hammer army. (they're practically tiny figurines that you have to buy boxes of their parts and put together and then they don't have any colors to begin with)Last edited by Deslock; 12-06-2014, 01:47 AM.Comment

I hate my ISP.
I really do. But living in a small town you have to deal with what you have.
My XBox popped up this morning saying it needs a new OS update. So I happily clicked on it.
God damn it, you guys know just how much I used to rail on about Sony and their damnable constant "firmware updates".
SIX hours later, it finally finished downloading and installing, after it timed out three times, and I had to keep restarting it. I thank God at least it started up again where it left off. I had to deal with this same exact issue on my PS3. I had our ISP come to our house and check everything out. He thought at first maybe we had old lines, but he said our lines our fine, but replaced our old ass router with a new one, which is indeed much faster. That also fixed my connection issues with Red Dead that I had, even though it's far too late now.
If I download anything to my computer, it only takes minutes flat. But if I download anything to my consoles, it literally takes half a day or longer. It just baffles me. I select the download before I go to bed,and if I'm lucky, it's done by the time I wake up. If I get online and play, it works instantly and flawlessly in game. But if I choose to download something, especially like the DLC for BF3/4, it takes all damn night long.
Do you guys have this issue also ??? How long does it take you guys to download stuff ?

You might find this interesting Mishy, did you know that I'm rated as one of the top three miniature painters in the world, especially in Warhammer ?. I'm just usually quiet about it, as I hate people that have to blow their own horn. I've been to the Golden Demon Games Workshop con's and finished in the top both years I competed, and I have the awards. But if you ever do come down this way, let me know. Lord knows I could use the help. Any help, LOL !.
I'd adore to show you my miniature Warhammer armies. My specialty is my dear beloved Ultramarines (Ultrasmurfs) and Eldar, but I also have a complete Imperial Guard, Chaos, and Orc army also, but my Tyranids is sad by today's views. Commissions are the bomb. Back in the day I used to make enough money doing them, they paid my rent note on many months.
Now days, everyone just plays vidya, and table top is damn near unknown now, which makes me have a sad. There's nothing like getting all your buddies together for a fun day of D&D or Warhammer. Geez, those were the days.... Before the nerds took everything over.
I got out of it all when Games Workshop became "Gouge Workshop", and if you wanted to build an army, you damn near now have to take out a bank loan against your house to afford to keep playing it. When buying a new tank cost $14 bucks, instead of a hundred now.Once they started charging $25 for ONE figure instead an entire 15 guy squad, I knew I was out. That and constantly changing the Codexes, so you had to keep buying them to be current, I knew I was done with Warhammer. Which is a damn shame, and I truly miss it. I knew once they went from lead to pewter, it was just going to be too costly.
You know if you're a true Warhammer 40k fan, if you know what "Beakies" mean. And damn it, I love my beakies, and have them to this very day. I've been given many great offers, but I refuse to sell them. :p
But the video games are fun, even though it's tiring to keep hearing the Orcs say "Spaze marines" over and over again. "Get the Spaze Marines" on the PS3.

Well Mishy, you live in Kentucky, and I live in Tennessee. ;) So it's not too far. :)

Daz got a great deal on my XBox. It was the Assassin's Creed box set. It came with two AC games, Black Flag and Unity, with the season's pass for both, and the Halo Master Chief collection, for $350, with 25% off that !. But my ISP is so shitty, I've been downloading Black Flag for two days now, and it's only at 50%.
It's a bitch to have this great console, and I can't play anything on it !!! *Cries* I'm also getting Warframe. I was amazed at all the free games from MS !. Really awesome.

Wish I could give you some suggestions on what to check, but I got nothing for you.
You did mention your laptop seems to download just fine. I would do a speed test on the laptop and compare to a test on the X1.ND

XBOX Gametag - DSA x ND x
...So live, that when thy summons comes to join
The innumerable caravan, which moves
To that mysterious realm, where each shall take
His chamber in the silent halls of death,
Thou go not, like the quarry-slave at night,
Scourged to his dungeon, but, sustained and soothed
By an unfaltering trust, approach thy grave
Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch
About him, and lies down to pleasant dreams.

If it takes that long to install just wait till you have to decide which game(s) to uninstall to add new games and then reinstall those games when you decide you want to play those games again. Those will be tough decisions when it's takes that long to install....or just buy a 1tb or > hard drive.sigpic
A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. ― Alexis de TocquevilleComment

I LOVE our new XBox One.
I thought the graphics on the PS3 was amazing. But I'm also quite sure they're amazing on the PS4 also.
I.
Can't.
Stop.
Playing.
HALO.
Yeah, it has it's issues. I don't understand why the Warhog drives around like a drunk Indian, but the controls on the Ghosts are so tight. But I'll be damned if this game isn't fun for me. And I like that they added different views between old school and new graphics. That's a very nice classy touch. At least for me.
RaTix, we stopped by Gamestop, and the employee there told us that they don't have a hard copy of BF4 premium with all the DLC on it yet for the One. Is this true ?. We went to Wal Mart and Gamestop, and all they had was the vanilla version.
I just wish the One had B/C. I know why the PS4 doesn't have it (Even though I think that's bullshit, they could've made one.) I cannot help but think MS should've added it also, as they didn't have the Cell crap to deal with like Sony.
But yeah, I really like our One. I just wish the darned controller didn't burn through batteries. I do prefer the Sony controller on that issue. I guess I need to buy four rechargeable ones, or buy a corded one. *Whew*
