Deslock, I know that you were a Ranger, but I supposed that your view on special ops forces was probably more informed than the rest of us who watched movies starring Michael Biehn.

Deslock, you did Tae Kwon Do? My master when I was a kid was World Champion in 1968 (in some sort of Grand Master competition). He was responsible for training the Korean Army (and US forces at the DMZ) at some point. Did not look at all imposing as a man, but his inner strength was something ridiculous.

Yes, I thought as I got out of the Army, it might be better for me to learn a fighting technique that was less "lethal". All I was taught was how to kill, not just to defend, without using lethal force.

Amen to that. Kinda odd isn't it? My Sensei was a 'lil guy too, but I wouldn't take him on..Oh Hells no!!! LOL!

One time, to teach me a lesson, there was this 'lil old gray haired lady in our Dojo, so he told me to take her down. So I'm thinking, I'm a badass, so I better make this quick, and as gentle as possible.

So I rushed her, and promptly recieved a kick to the head that would knock a damn donkey out!, then was flipped over, and quickly had her foot planted firmly on my neck!

She could've killed me with ease! Taught me a valuable lesson on how appearances can be VERY deceiving! Come to find out, that sweet 'lil old lady was one of the best students he had. Very humiliating and embarassing, to say the least. Everyone had quite the laugh at the Ranger that got hosed by a Granny!
