Getting booted from the other side?

I am a little unclear on this. Can you get booted from the opposing team? There have been several instances where i have just all of a sudden been kicked off and my machine resests. :!: Does anyone have any idea why this happens? And if it does have to deal with getting booted off i think its BS that they can do that. If not, then i' m an idiot and please, someone educate me on what really is happening. :?

The Only ones that can vote to boot you off, are your own teammates. Even then I don't think I've ever seen it work. But if your being voted off, you will know. The vote count appears in the upper left of the screen.
But I'm sure its more a network problem then anything else. I think I had similar problems when I first started playing the game. That and server booting me, hanging on load screen and other such anoying errors.

How is your network setup. Like is your connection going through a router, or are you directly connecting the modem up to the PS2? Might be a conflict in the ports or somehting if going through a router.

I have read about this problem before in some of the LA forums. Most people ultimately try redownloading the patch and resetting the network settings after deleting them. I also have a similar problem where I will randomly get heavy lag, then lose connection to the host. This happens despite a good ping rate, having a technician come and check on my cable modem signal, good upload/download, and LucasArts being no help. I have no idea why i get disconnected but it happens with some frequency. Really annoying in the middle of a fight.

If your running a network and have your PC connected, I would chekc to see if anything is runnign in the background that may be using up your bandwidth. Do a full spyware and virus scan as well.

If you don't have yoru PC running while using the PS2. Then I am at a loss as well. sry.

Thanks. I am still having connection issues. Great ping. Great upload, download speeds (ultra cable modem). But I get disconnected all the time. ISP has not been able to figure anything out.

The new patch allows the host to kick off anyone they want now regardless of there side. But I don't think this causes the machine to restart, I used to have the same problem but for some reason it just disappeared.

I did too but it doesn't happen anymore. I sent you a pm with the little info I had. I'm sorry I couldn't help, but if I ever get more news I'll tell you. It's one of the wierder problems.

I think its a porting problem in the server software. LA seems ot be trying to make some attempts at fixing.
