Jedi Server Feedback Poll

Due to the constant barrage of TKers, Glitchers and other unsavory ppl, I am considering making the Jedi Server passworded just as the NFP server is. Meaning all Registered users on the site would have access to the password, but will keep out all anonymous public players.

The down side to this is the server may not always have alot of players in it to begin with (Well if you hate never being able to get in b/c its full, it could be an up side as well).
Flip side to that is, it wont be as full with the wrong type of ppl.

If we do decide on this, I will post a repeat msg in the server for a week, letting the public know they can register on the site to gain the password, before we fully switch it over.

We may still get a few bad apples and the password might have to be changed form time to time. But a few bad apples is probally better then an insect infested orchard.

I just want to get the Publics as well as DSA opinions on this to see how well ppl support the idea, before making any final desicions on it.

i've been for passwording it all along, way to full of glitchers and tkers that make it not fun playing in it, the reason why i never play in there anyways.

Personally, I'm not crazy about it. I like a target rich enviroment and a password would severly limit the number of people I can slice up.

I think the best solution would be to try and have someone with admin rights in there as much as possible to kick the cheaters like The Pope. I play the jedi server a lot and honestly most the time there isn't anyone from DSA in there. You guys always seem to be on the Darksidealliance.com server playing conquest. Just my two cents!

I think this is a good idea.To many ingrates join the server and just cause trouble.This would make having to patrol the server less.Mic whores,Glitchers,Tkers,etc.I hope there will be less of them.

I used to play in there alot. But as an admin it becomes a full time job banning and booting ppl.
80% of the time when im in there im warning someone for this, or verifying this person isnt doing that, checking here for wookies in walls, spectating to see who is in the sky glitches, etc...
It ussually takes a good hour or more to get the server clean of the vermin. Then you end up with a low number of ppl anyway. And by that point your just soo burnt out you could care less about playing.

I personally would like to get to PLAY when I go in this server. I end up adminning almost the whole time when I play. Case in point, jumped into the server right now and booted 5 different players for glitching. And as I typed that sentence I was tk'd by a Player 1. This server would be great with only 14 players that actually FOLLOW the RULES.

i guess its cool but it will definitely limit the amount of players, and for the people that actually play and are fair that arent registered its not very fair for them cuz they wont know where to get the pw.

Why not just put a lock on it during the day when most of the little kids are playing. Usually they are the ones TKing and glitching (not to generalize) then remove it later at night when the more mature people are on?

there are soooooo many rulebreakers you cant even play it!!! The boot vote is constantly running. The walls of the catina are bugged! And yoda is in the floor! Or we could just do a massive IP ban :? Your choice overall we have only oppinions

and to add on to elitetroopers voting thing.The troublemakers always seem to put a vote to boot against legit players and abuse on the vote system.Its really annoying and thus they do not to play on the server if they are just going to continue glitching and making fools of themselves.

Sounds like a good idea, more control over tkers glitchers spawn campers and you'll always know who will be in the server.Th e only problem would be if the population of the server is low.This would help keep tkers like lycan,andrew,and falcon x from me after i by accidently push them or hit them and they go off on me.Making me get medival on thier ass.

While the choice is ours, your opinions and feedback are helpful to determine the best course of action.
To help those that dont know to register on the site, I will have the server msg repeat instructions on signing up and let them know that the server will be password, If and when we do decide to go this route.

We could also schedule the server as a public server at select times when the less desirable elements aren't as abundant.

Those on the site now can help out by letting the good players you see in the server, know about the possible passwording of it and to sign up.

I voted no mostly because I didn't see a one week trial option to see is having a pw works. 95% of the time I hate playing in there. The other 5% is when I've had a crappy day and I just want to choke someone or keep pushing them into walls till i run out of power.

Killing someone with a wookie rocket can only bring me so much pleasure, sometimes i just have to choke them too....lol
