Messi--while mesmerizing as a player, is also about 5'5 and he looks a bit like a hobbit.
Riquelme is a pretty awesome player--I can't believe the coach benched him in that Germany game and didn't bring on Messi.
However, I personally don't love jersey's with stripes. So Barca and Arg. are not shirts that I think look great--although Barca's colors are pretty solid.
Real Madrid's jerseys are awesome (I liked them better last year than this). Robinho is pretty amazing as well (although tactically doesn't always seem to be on the same page with teammates). However, Real is still in a bit of a rebuilding mode as they hold onto players who are just too old to be on the field together. Beckham, R Carlos, Raul all have something to contribute on the field---but it is a problem when all three of them are on the pitch together. But I like the Real jerseys best--especially if the font that they used last year for the names will still be used this year. I liked that alot.
Best Kits out there in my opnion are the Umbro England away kits from 2005. The white with the red St George's cross on the right shoulder was REALLY sharp looking.
You're the best! Around! Nothings gonna ever keep you down!
DaMarcus Beasley and Lee Nguyen--PSV Eindhoven (stripes again).
Mike Bradley--Herenveen. No idea what the jersey looks like.
Oguchi Onyewu--Standard Liege (Belgian league is weak, and plus he will be somewhere else come January).
Marcus Hahneman (GK)and Bobby Convey--Reading--Hoops instead of stripes look better actually.
Carlos Bocanegra and Brian McBride--Fulham--great jerseys and logo. weak team.
Claudio Reyna--Manchester City--decent colors, but Thomas Cook as the sponsor looks weak.
Tim Howard--Everton--pretty solid Jerseys but he is GK
Jonathon Spector--West Ham United--nice Jerseys
Jay DeMerit--Watford--Elton John's club. relegation fodder. But I like the kits and this kid is somebody to watch out for--he will be on the national team next time around
Kasey Keller GK--Borussia Modengladbach (or something like that).
Steve Cherundolo--Hanover 96. Cool kits. team will likely bet relegated.
Conor Casey--Mainz (don't know what the kits look like)
Eddie Lewis--Leeds United. B league team
Plus we got a lot of other guys playing in lower leagues, youth teams, etc across Europe.
In MLS, I think DC United has the best looking kits. Chicago Fire is pretty cool too.
National team kits are decent as well---but wait for the next set to come out during WC qualifying. I have lost my away US jersey (sucks because they cost like 80.
