      Zab,

I'm straight but I agree with you that Ted McGinley sure is a handsome fellow and he definitely had some redeeming roles on Love Boat, Happy Days, and Married With Children lest we forget. I know he's been on some other stuff, too. All marginal/crap shows of course. And of course, there's always Jim J. Bullock to consider although I have personally never seen him play a bad guy in anything. I just always remember him being an integral part of REALLY BAD TV. HAHA!

Anyway, I forgot that at the end of Karate Kid, he was kind enough to say, "You're alright, Laruso!" or something like that. Thanks for the reminder in squad practice last night. Must be nice to say that after repeatedly beating the crap out of some poor kid with your goons throughout the entire movie and have the kid not friggin' knife you in the parking lot. I think that was on the director's cut DVD maybe.

Good time fighting against you, Ratix, Boss, FvStar, and Kerry. Look forward to doing that again and sorry I missed monkey in the middle. I'll have to catch that next time.

      Later,

      Mace

P.S. I'm still trying to get into "The Thin Man" series on DVD. We have it at home on Netflix and it's pretty good but slow paced by today's standards.

Married with Children! Mistake on my part to exclude. But McGinely played that WASPY jerk so perfectly in Nerds, he was a lot like my namesake. But Jm J Bullock? Was he in anything else besides Too Close for Comfort? And how funny that they would have such a flamboyantly gay character/person on TV way back then, yet never be acknowledged. It's like the way people were always willing to believe that Elton John, George Michael, Liberace, and Michael Stipe weren't gay. Not that Stipe was particularly flamboyant--but he would do stuff like wear skirts, makeup, and kiss Peter Buck on stage just to really piss off the rednecks in Athens GA. Then when asked about his orientation, he would say asexual. Yet everyone believed that he and Natalie Merchant were a couple. I digress...what else has Jm J Bullock been in?

As for Johnny, not only does he say "you're alright, larusso", he takes the trophy from the presenter and hands it to daniel himself. then in the beginning of KK2, the Cobra Kai are getting ready to leave the tourney when their Sensei gets angry at Johnny for losing. Johnny says that second place is still good, and the Sensei breaks the trophy and starts to choke Johnny. Miyagi rescues him and instead of killing him, he honks his nose after avoiding some punches that instead go through car windows.

God...I saw KK1 like 100 times, KK2 only once, yet I still remember all that.

I can't believe that with all the music fans in this clan, that nobody thought Almost Famous wasn't a phenomenal movie--especially since it was based on Cameron Crowe's experiences as a high school reporter working for Rolling Stone and following Zepplin.
You're the best! Around! Nothings gonna ever keep you down!

          Bubba Ho-Tep
          Shaun of the Dead
Thank you 5-Star for saying these. Bubba-Ho-Tep is a great movie. You've seen Phantasm, directed by the same guy.

Phantasm - I love those little balls of death. Gotta love the Tall Man!
Bad Taste - Another Peter Jackson great.
Audition - Don't watch this if you have a weak stomach. The whole burlap sack ting is pretty unnerving.
28 Days Later - Another good film. Loved that it paid homage to other horror films.
The Last Starfighter - I loved this movie while I was growing up. I wanted to fly a Gunstar!!
          Soylent Green - It's people!
          Enemy Mine
Blade Runner - How could you not like this movie?
Robocop - I miss popcorn movies like this
Snakes on the Plane - Thank God for bringing back a decent popcorn movie

Gents, lest we forget John Cusack and Curtis Armstrong (a.k.a. Booger) in :

Better Off Dead and One Crazy Summer

Norm, The Last Starfighter rocks!!! Death Blossom!!!

Enemy Mine and Blade Runner also very good!

How bout this one? Time Bandits.

And oh yeah, Jennifer Connelly in Career Opportunities. That was strong.

Zab, do a search on Jim J Bullock and you will be most amazed at how versatile he was having worked on The New Hollywood Squares AND Super Sloppy Double Dare. What an actor! He was on a TON of crap.

That's about it, I think all the good movies are now spoken for. We'll have to revert to bad movies at this point.

Hell yeah Norm, im glad that someone else has seen Bubba Ho-Tep. How can you not love this movie. And yes I love Phantasm, can't belive I left it off the list. Same with 28 Days Later, both of those should have been on my list.

Snakes on a Plane had me rolling in the alse laughing my ass off. Sam Jackson is one bad ass mofo.

I liked when that guy throw the ladys little yappy dog at the snake for it to eat. That and when the snake came out of the toliet and bit the guys dick. Both those scenes were great.
At the San Diego Comic-Con this year I saw Sam Jackson and Kenan Thompson talking about the movie, plus they brought a couple of the actual snakes that they used on the set. It was a really fun time.

One more thing to add to the list is all Hayao Miyazaki movies. Such as Howls Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky, ext....

Good call on Spinal Tap. Without a doubt on of the best movies for one-liners of all time.

I also vote anything Monty Python.
                        Boom. Outta here.
