    Favorite 16-bit games

What are some of your all time favorite games from Genesis and Super Nintendo. This is kind of a loaded question. I recently got my psp hacked with those emulators. So now I'm trying to get a solid library of 16-bit classics.

Definitely Gunstar Heros and if your an RPG fan you'll like games like Super Mario RPG,Final Fantasy 2,Final Fantasy 3,Chrono Trigger,Final Fantasy Mystic Quest.

Or if your more of the platformer type then probably Contra III,Teenage Mutant Turtles:Turtles in Time,Double Dragon 4(good Game),Street Fighter,Dragon Ball Z Hyper Dimension,Dragon Ball Z 2 and 3.

There are others I have from my Rom collection as well.
      Actraiser 1 and 2
      Final Fight 1-3
      Castlevania 4
      Illusion of Gaia
      Ninja Gaiden Trilogy
      Super Ghouls and Ghost
      Super Star Wars
Super Star Wars Empire strikes Back
Super Star Wars Return of the Jedi
      Super Metroid
      Zombie ate my neighbors

      Thats it for now really.

Btw MJ how did you hack your PSP to play Emulators?I thought the firmware was updated on the PSP that emulators were impossible?Could you possibly PM me a link that could give me info on how to upload emulation on my psp?

NHL94 and 95 were some of the best games ever. My roommates and I lived just like the guys in swingers in terms of drinking at home playing NHL94 before going out to hit the clubs.

Street Fighter with the 6 button controller aligned like in the arcade game were sick.

        NBA Jams "From DOWNTOWN"

I think those were the only games I played on genesis. wow. Thats amazing that I could have spent that many hours on just those games.

then again---if I look at my recent PS2 collection, it is pretty much swbf2, socom3 and a FIFA game that are the only games I play now/have played for the past year.
You're the best! Around! Nothings gonna ever keep you down!

            ...

...not to brag, but there was a very good reason I was named God in NHL 94....me and the guy who taught me to play my freshman year in the dorms weren't allowed to play in the dorm (400 plus guys) tournament because we were unstoppable, ten goals a period was standard, 15 if I was allowed to use Chicago with Roenick or Vancover with Bure.

Remeber "the move"? You could score everytime with that little juke! One timers were still the best, god I miss that game, I gotta dig one of my old Genesis's out of moth balls and go to Echo and buy that game again! After 94 I didn't like how they changed the skating motion, 94 you couldn't just turn on a dime, it was much more realistic. The newer versions seem to have gone back to that a bit the past few years!

Man...now I am going to have that game in my head the rest of the day!

I wasn't really a big person for sports games personally.I did like a few though"NBA Jam" and a couple of football games for the N64 and PS2.

Mario RPG was great as was Secret of Mana.

NHL94 god I loved that game. There was almost a glitch with Alexander Mogilny on the SNES. He was rated at avaerage, but the guy could score from anywhere inside the blue line.

Wow some great feedback guys, I appreciate it. Some I have already DL'd and the rest Ill have to add. Wow, Pavel Bure! He's the sole reason I became a Canucks fan. And no wrap arounds, that's too cheap!!!

Kamui, my roomates co-worker hacked it for me. If your psp is an OLd enough model then you get a firmware emulator. It allows me to run 1.5 to 2.7. He also hooked up a program that lets me stream current games off the internet to my psp. You can save the newer games to memory but they take like 100 mb combared to the 600 kb 16-bit games.

He's modding Mighty-Mav's psp now so when he drops it off, I'll get the links and post them in the psp thread.

Again thanks for all the good games. And by all means, don't stop :P

Super Mario RPG, the Donkey Kong Country Series, TMNT: Turtles through time (played this a billion times I think, lol), DOOM, General Chaos, Megaman X, Kirby Dreamcourse (or whatever its called where its almsot golf but with kirby), Kirby Allstars, Super Mario Kart, Super Mario RPG: Quest of the Seven Stars (or whatever its called)... so many of them, but I can't play them unless they're on the actual system themselves, because they don't feel right ><.

Ha I didn't even realize I started this thread. I have since unmodded my psp, but to stay on topic....

Since it never was in the arcade, I'm gonna say Golden Axe II. I must have played through that game hundreds of times. There's something about hack 'n slash/beat 'em up sides scrollers that I just can't get enough of.
