whats wrong with a game if u put it on it reads but when the ps2 sign comes on your screen gets black afterwards and stays like that

Check your disk for scratches and clean your PS2 lens Drix. Is it happening with that game only or all? If with all or a few games, you may need to adjust your laser lens.
