Part of what makes this funny (ironic) is that Hugh Jackman is widely reputed to be in a "sham" marriage witha woman who helped his career, adopted kids (they are adopted), and a traveling "assistant" with whom he shares rooms. A couple years back, we had a baby nurse who worked for him a couple days while he was doing his broadway show and she described some very odd living arrangements that were confirmed to her later when she worked for a family that lived upstairs from a loft that he rented downtown with his family.
Rumors of being gay have long followed various hollywood actors. I just find it ironic that Wolverine does a skit like this if he is indeed gay.
