I was never really that good with online stuff. I just got my PSP yesterday but i cant seem to get online. how do i connect?

A few things I have to ask
1.)Is the switch(which is located on the lower bottom left side of the PSP to the side of the analog to the far left) fliped up?
2.)Do you have a wirelss router?
3.)Have you configured your PSP online setting yet?
