Honestly, we should plan a real get together, it would be a Hell of a good time. A few of my movie prop making buddies have get togethers all the time.

Regent lives in Southeastern VA...real close to where my parents live. I believe that Tripp, Mace and Sig are also in the South. RDaug is in TX, I believe and Rogue Leader is in TN IIRC. Reaver is in FL. Shocker is in GA. Fair number of southerners. Although I grew up in VA, I don't think most people would think of me as a Southerner. You're the best! Around! Yeah I am in SE TX near the LA border. Little town of Nederland, right next to Beaumont. Not bad I am what 1.5 hours to Houston, or Lake Charles where I can go gambling ha.
Not too sure about the grits with the BBQ though :? So close to LA we do alot of BBQ and crawfish lol. A real meeting would be awesome wether it be East, West, or Central we meet up at. I'm sure most of us could find some kind of trouble to get into no matter what part of the country we are insigpicComment

lol i played trumpet for like 5 yrs, but my band teacher and I openly hated each other, mainly because i did not want to be there and was pretty open about it. Best part was my last year, because i got to sit next to my best friend the whole year and get yelled at by me teacher cuz we would just mess around

I play the Alto Saxaphone Rdaug and unfortunatly i'm the top of our class so i have to actually try *sigh*
I'm not really a 'band nerd' but using it for the benefits. By being in the band, you get to go on trips like hawaii, new york, indianapolis, college bowls, etc. Also you go to all the school games for free and you get fairly good seats, and if they go to state, you get like a frikkin luxury ride their and back with again free admission and great seats. And lastly it's easy credits and you always get A's in that class.
I basically picked the Saxaphone cuz i love smooth jazz like chris botti, dave koz, euge groove, peter white, etc.
Anyways again if you wanna show up to the parade and watch me embarass myself, pm me and i'll inform you on the stuff.Comment

i know a lot of people give band people grief (I used to when i was in school), but the reality is, learning an instrument is a really great thing, especially if you keep up with it. So many band guys end up being able to develop their skills into some really cool jazz and other outlets.
The Neptunes--Pharrell Williams and Hugo whatshisname, two of the biggest producers in the music business were actually from Virginia beach (a little younger than me) and went to a rival high school. They were band guys as well at Princess Anne High School. My guess is that their classmates had no idea that they would be the most successful alumni probably ever in the history of their school. You're the best! Around! Nothings gonna ever keep you down!

Thats cool Grejo. I use the term loosely cause I figure we "band nerds" can call each other that lol. We did get to miss alot of school for trips and stuff but nothing like hawaii. The others students would try to label some of us band nerds but would always get pissed when we got to go to Padre Island for a week. High School kids 4 to a room in condos on Padre Island 8O Its amazing more of them chicks didnt get pregenat lol. In our school you had to be in band to be a twirler which where second only to cheerleaders.
Hell I cheerish being in band. Gave me an appreciation of music. Live music is the best. And what better than a girl who has the power to blow a french horn :?:sigpicComment
