Im probably not going to be able to get an Elite because the EB games store here said they would be getting less than 5. I really dont have time to camp out just for a console i pretty much have, lol. Although I do want to get it. Im suprised that theyre giving 250 for my current 360. Let me know what you guys think.

The only thing that would make me trade up is if I had a full HDD or really really wanted that HDMI connection. Neither of which apply.

I guess if you have a Core system then its not a bad move but otherwise I think you might be falling into the marketing hype.

There are case mods available, If you don't mind voiding your warranty. Or you could just very very carefully remove the silver strip when changing the case.

You are getting a 250 trade in? That could be worth it in part for longevity and the added warranty. Apparently the major manufacturing issue with the 360 is some soldering of the motherboard to something else and in the Elite, they put on more solder essentially so that things don't separate when it warps a bit. So it should be a bit better built with a new warranty. But your total costs would add up to a PS3, invalidating the value argument.
