Empire is the best movie out of all of them--pacing, acting, direction. After that I would probably go with New Hope for the revolution that it inspired. Return would be there if it weren't for the Ewoks.

i just wish there was more action in these movies, I know that's not really what these were about, but I still wish there was more.

I am going to have to go with 1 and 2 being my favorites. I was always a big fan of podracers and all the stuff in that movie.

The young Anakin who was such a bad actor that they had to just run with bad cuts and then later digitally alter his lips while he did new reads? You got to be kidding me. Yippeee!

Some of the worst things that could have ever happened to the Star Wars cannon. Lucas destroyed one of the coolest characters, Darth Vader, in movie history by miscasting Anakin Skywalker time and again, while also trying to write dialog. The second coolest character ever--Darth Maul gets cut down in the first movie.

He had a great story arc---he just should have let somebody else write and direct it.

Kinda makes me wonder what these movies will be like when they are all completely remade again. You know its gonna happen. 8-10 years from now they will decide to remake them all and tell the story the way Lucas really wanted to from the beginning. Maybe Lucas wont even be involved as much. I dunno but I have a feeling. We all know that every one of the Star Wars movies were compromised in one way or another.

2? Really? With that insipid love story that should have been the heart and soul of the entire epic being so poorly done? Yikes. I would have have traded having Jar Jar being in 50% of the movie if I could have had somebody else write the falling in love scenes.

they will definitely be remade eventually, just like the lord of the rings will be for a 3rd time. (2nd time for live action)

Original Trilogy, all the way. If I had to pick one, then I guess it would be Episode 4. It was the original, bringing new, never before seen effects and ideas, but it also left some stuff to the imagination. The droids were funny, and much better than Jar Jar, or the "new" droids. The jokes they use in the new movies just seem so strained, predictable, and well just sucky. Episode 1 had too much Jar Jar, the under water sub scene was drawn out way too long (I love the edited version thats out that has Jar Jar almost completely cut out and the sub scene is just well non existent. Shows them leave, then shows them pop up at their destination. All that Jar Jar and "there's always a bigger fish" crap cut out.) Darth Maul should have not been killed, not that easily. I mean what about the "master villain" that's supposed to strike fear into us? I know the ultimate is the Emperor, but was it supposed to be Dooku? Vader and Maul were just mindless, unfeeling, uncaring bad asses that would do anything for their master making them dangerous and scary as hell. Vader should have fought Maul, to take his place by the Emperors side. I guess I need to read the books to get a better feel, but damn. Where the hell did Grievous pop up from? Just needed some other villain in the movie to have some bad ass fights? Again, Maul could have been used there. I'm supposed to believe Obi can kill Maul, and Grievous, and defeat Vader but can't beat Dooku?
