Battlefront 1 definitely should have gotten the nod over the sequel. Other than that, I don't see much to argue. Although I personally thought that "Galactic Battlegrounds" was a better overall game than "Empire at War", the graphics for Empire impressed me enough to see why. But "Battlegrounds" was just an amazing game that had the storyline as well as the free play.
I'm glad one of the old PC simulator games got on there. Tie Fighter was an awesome game. I tried to play it again about five years ago but too many errors with the old software on a new computer. X-Wing and X-Wing Alliance also were great games for their times.
I like how Rogue Leader got a piece on there. I remember one of the reasons I picked up the Gamecube five years ago was because of that game. Not too disappointed. Followed the Alliance really through "Empire" to "Return". And any chance to play the Battle of Yavin and Hoth is a chance I take.
What probably disappoints me the most is "Shadows of the Empire" was left off. For those that didn't play it, it played out a lot like the "Dark Forces/Jedi Knight" series. Too bad you didn't get a lightsaber.
And there was no doubt in my mind that #1 should have been Jedi Outcast. I got it around the time Episode 2 came out. For other reasons, I remember the first night I played this game very well (Giambi walk-off Grand Slam). It had one of the most epic levels in gaming history is the first level on Nar Shaada. Avoiding grenades ten stories up is not the easy. It had a pretty good sequel too in Jedi Academy, which came out in 2003. But none of those levels were as epic as Jedi Outcast. Although duel wield sabers were a nice touch. And if you didn't play this game with the realistic saber cheat... well you should just be treated like those stormtroopers in the Outcast clip."You gotta have fun. I agree that battlefront one should have been there. I loved playing x-wing back in the day, tie fighter was sweet, I agree with most of them but I would have a problem only picking 10 since there have been so many great star wars games. Their the reason I ever got in to gaming in the first place.One shot, One kill.Comment
