Nevermind I got the ring today and since I have no f'ing clue where my reciept is I dont think I have enough proof for it to be under warrenty. So I guess you wont be seeing me for a while. Even my ring wasn't a full circle it was just 3 of the lights flashing. Damnit Damnit Damnit DAMNIT.

If by some miracle I find it does the 3 yr warrenty apply to all systems I thought it was only a 90 day? Ian, you are making no sense. You don't need to have your receipt. Kerry received his as a gift and has been able to turn it in. There is also a manufacture date. The warranty is 3 years, not 90 days.

Thanks guys. My Anger blinds me so I know I wasn't very coherent, I was looking in the manual and it said the express warrenty was 90 days not the implied warrenty. Ill call tech support tommrow thanks for your help I was almost planning on buying an elite. Guess its back to the old lagtastic Ps2 for a while!:(

EDIT!: Nope... it's dead. I'm calling them up tomorrow to get this repair started, but I'll be out for a good few weeks. The really bad thing that I don't like it is that it had to be the week before Madden 08 comes out. Killing tradition, that's what that is. I'm still getting Madden the first day it comes out so the silver lining shines in my room for a few weeks.

I hear ya they told me it would be between 2-4weeks to get the process completed but their adding 1 month to my LIVE supscription so all Im really losing is some good gamer time but it isint costing me anything as it shoulden't. One thing I will say is its good they game good customer service otherwise Id be beyond seeing red pissed off.

Well I'd be pissed off if I didn't expect it to happen. I have become- what is the song title- Comfortably Numb. It's happened to my co-host, it's happened to Kerry more than once, it happened to thousands more, so why couldn't it happen to me. Trust me, I probably could go a few weeks without playing it... although odds are we'll get higher than 4th in the GRAW2 competition and I'll get prize money for missing the last week, which isn't exactly how I'd like to get whatever share of the prize.

Well looks like I'm FINALLY back! Thank God i purchased that dam warranty the same day i purchased my Xbox. Well guys after messing around with that stupid X Clamp replacement crap i finally gave up because i was honestly getting nowhere with that.

So today i decided you know what I'm gonna grow some balls and walk into EB games and exchange my Xbox. Now some of you might be wondering..now what the hell if he had a warranty..why didn't he just go and exchange it in the first place? Well let me explain. The reason i didn't want to take a chance at EB games was because I honestly thought i could fix the stupid box by myself and also i figured why even bother with EB since i hacked into the console anyways which would mean that my warranty was VOID!

Well to make a long story short i went in..showed the guy my receipt from when i purchased the Xbox and sure enough i walked out with a brand new Xbox. As soon as i got home i freaking opened that baby up. Hacked into it again..and now I'm back in action! :D

Jeter, IAN, Kerry all of you guys...Good luck because i know its a freaking headache for you now!

Also in case anyone is wondering about purchasing the warranty...Heres something that i found out today. It only works ONCE! How retarded is that? What this means is that i had to spend another freaking $50 just to buy another warranty. Jesus talk about a freaking expensive little box! But hey if i have to keep spending $50 I'll do it because that number is alot smaller than $450. But in the end if i REALLY have to get another Xbox and another warranty...Honestly I'll be done with microshaft after that and just be going exclusively back to my original friend SONY. PS3 anybody?

Rizzo, If your system is modded, then the games you have still put you up in the end. $50 for warranty Vs $1200(20 games).

You also bring up an interesting point. Wonder how many people with banned systems have purposely bricked the system to get the ring of death just to be able to return it. That way the guy at EB looks at it, even plugs it in.. and sees the rings. Doesn't think twice about it being modded.
