whenever we have a school lockdown it's just for a weed raid in lockers, they bring in dogs and stuff.

but yeah, we've never had that happen to us, just drills in case it does happen

We've had a bomb threat two years ago, nothing was ever found, but it got me out of class for around three hours.

Somone also set off a fire cracker in school once, it set of alarms and got me out of my first period class.

jeeeeeeeeeeez. thank god no one was hurt though.

you know i'm sick of this crap. everyone in the U.S. knows what happens when you bring a firearm to school or use it on school grounds. so why do it? even if you're committing suicide.....the best thing to do is just report it to the counselor or principal. imagine rather than ending your life, you see your bullies or troublemakers being expelled or possibly arrested for charges they might have made on you during your lifetime. i'd actually get a kick out of that. now THAT kind of revenge is good :)

I think people have become a bit sensitive to things like this in recent years due to media coverage. I did 2 years of high school in Colorado and I would wager there wasn't a day without a firearm at least in someone's vehicle. I know of a specific instance myself.

I completely agree that impressionable youth need to be kept away from firearms but statements like
It's awful, we're not even a week into this and already...you can't send your kids to school anymore it's terrible,
seem a little over the top to me.

This is where Zabka chimes in on how I don't have a kid therefore my opinion isn't valid. ;)
