I tried watching it and passed out on the couch 30 mins. before it started and woke 10 mins. before it ended. Good thing I have a TIVO.

It was a rough weekend so don't ask why I passed out at 8:30. Also why I didn't make GRAW practice.

I just watched that **** and laughed my ass ass off. Besides the parody of Star Wars the other subtle, if you could call them that, references to movies like National Lampoon and Airplane cracked me up.

What kind of resolution did you get on that dl rdaug? Was it just youtube or a dvr'ed on PC version?

I liked the little touches. like when Luke first got leia's message and asks: obi-wan kenobi? I wonder if she means, old obi-wan kenobi?

or

"aren't you a little fat to be a storm trooper?" and Chris' response was just perfect.

The digs at Robot Chicken at the end were amusing since Seth Green is the voice of Chris and the creator of Robot Chicken.

The youtube clip I posted months ago that had about 5 minutes of scenes from this special unfortunately took out a lot of the best laughs.

I liked how they were referencing how cheap the Emperor was. When the two Imp Engineers at the DeathStar beam started bitching about not having a freaking rail for them was great.

Definately had me laughing, maybe not as much as the Robot Chicken, but they are two different types of parrodies. I hope that they do this every season premier if they can, and do each movie.

I was also very impressed with the animation for the ships.

Yeah the ship animation was good. I think they might have used that process where they basically trace the original image. It kind of reminded me of that. Kind of like the movie that came out not too long ago but flopped. I have no idea of the name, but I think Keanu Reeves was in it, and maybe Robert Downey Jr.

Thanks for the links. Yeah, it was pretty good. In general, I'm a pretty big family guy fan, but it just hasn't been making me laugh as much as it did in the early years.

I liked the Dr. Strangelove reference (at least I think it was strangelove... it's been a while since I've seen that movie).

Also, not sure what Quagmire was referring to when he said that Leia was getting fat...

Probably the fact that Lucas made comments to Carrie Fisher about being too big, either that or they are gonna mess the series up by having her have another kid. LOL It would be funny if she had a kid before the neighbors did ROFL. I like the episode where Peter refers to that also. Says something like Geez you've been pregnant what 3 years now.......ROFL

In strangelove, do you remember the part where James Earl Jones pokes his head through the hatch and says something to the people up there? After they won the tie fighter shoot out, there was a very similar scene. I've already packed up my dvd of strangelove, so I can't double check it.

BUT, the whole war/battle and Jones reference would make sense. Anyone else have comments about this?
