Just went to Vive Le Bands last night. I could not believe GWAR was not headlining. Especially after seeing Cradle of Filth for the first time. God, those guys suck balls. Is there a rule in metal nowadays that you have to be a growler or you don't get a record contract. Where have all the higher pitched singers of metal's golden years gone? Bruce Dickenson, you're our only hope!

Highlight of GWAR was probably the half Jesus, half hitler with an 18" boner, jizzing all over the band and audience. Good times!

My best friends band just took 3rd out of 300 at the battle of the bands at the University of Arizona. But yeah I love the math metal but then I like everything from blues to classical to the post hardcore. So I'm not a fair judge since I find a good song for nearly every band.

Classic rock and modern rock. I do like the softer stuff more than the hard stuff. U2 and Coldplay dominate my "Most Played" list on iTunes. You have to go down to the thirties before a song from a band that's not one of those is on it (Incubus' "Dig").

I will admit that being at a radio station for nearly every day the past two years has made me like the "pop" stuff more. Damn pop stuff.

                    Jeter--

You like making spinach dip in a bowl of bread.

I was an avowed pop music hater through college. But then I started hitting clubs in college. That's when it became clear how helpful knowing how to dance, having some cash, and turning down hatred of such music so that you could move to it was to a good time in a city with a hot club scene. Then I visited London and realized that dancing ability wasn't racial, it was cultural. Clubs I hit there all had guys who could at least move well in sharp contrast to various parties I hit in the States.

Being open to all music can really enhance one's experiences. I found that I love opera. Not necessarily to just listen to--but to actually go to and see performed. Those multimillion dollar sets are ridiculously amazing (I love the Met). I would never have found that out if I let my own biases prevent me from experiencing all sorts of music scenes.

I was at the first lollapalooza tour. I used to watch REM when they played small, general admission shows. I used to watch Dave Matthews play in bars. I saw people getting stomped on at a Social Distortion concert. But I have also enjoyed the NY Phil in Central Park. I have seen two different stagings of La Boheme and Aida. At the end of the day, a good show is a good show.

                      I ask you Zabka.....

What is wrong with spinach dip in a bread bowl? That is easily one of my favorite party appetizers.

I think we talked about this before in the threads. 40 year old Virgin line about how Paul Rudd and Seth Rogan knew the other was "gay". Spinach dip in a bowl of bread was one...as was listening to Coldplay.

Tony--you do know we will accept you even when you choose to exit that closet, don't you? We're friends no matter what.

Awww man I just failed a fag test.... LMFAO. I always thought an eye for fashion and an ear for Madonna were the tell tale signs. Looks like I'm only serving salami/cream cheese/pepperchini rolls from now on.

Oh and I know how accepting this clan is. Canadiens and animal lovers *gives Norm a disgusted look* are allowed.

Radiohead kicks ass!!!! Medeski Martin and Wood also!!!!! (this is a music thread afterall :D)
