I know many of us SWBF 2 gamers are disappointed that the game isn't being released or other consoles. However, I am very skeptic of tht statement. Everyone knows that SWBF2 was biggest star wars game ever. Sony bought the rights to the Rogue Squadron and wanted exclusively released for the PSP market.

Here is my analysis of the situation:

      1. Sony wanted to increase PSP sales to make it exclusive.
      2. Sony and Lucas know the demand of gaming market and see the dollar signs around their heads.
      3. Its hard for me to believe that with all the cost of developing the gaming that they will keep it PSP the whole time. Even SWBF1 was eventually released on XBOX.
      4. SWBF2 had many glitches in the gaming and had many problems for the rush release.

In theory of economics and cost benefit analysis, I foresee releasing the game for PSP, increasing PSP sales, fix up the glitches and eventually release it for other consoles and make a killing on the profit. I say 8-16 months however before we see it on our PS3's and XBOX's.

      Any thoughts?

Here's a prediction, or crazy ass thought. This one released for the PS2, and maybe 360, or even original XBOX (if they are even still making any games) followed by a brand new game for the next gen system. Especially if the new one takes longer, or is delayed for some reason. Satisfy people with Force unleashed, pacify Battlefront crowd with this on a console, then relish in the glory of an all new game on a next gen system. I think a year after Force, then we will see a Battlefront.

Gamecube and Xbox have expired while there children have become popular.
The PS2 however being an old bat is still popular believe it or not and thats probably due to the PS3 not having a vast library of games yet. Also pricing of the system keeps many at bay from buying right away.
I hear the newer PS3s are not going to have backward compatibility so yea....:(.
PS2 will definitely be alive for abit long so maybe LA will pull something out of their sleves or not :(.
I find it pitiful for game designers to rush their creativity......

I think it will be like GTA Liberty and Vice city stories, they were realeased for PSP and when they did well they where put on to other consules so they could make an extra buck. We can hioe the ps2/3 and xbox version have more to them but its only hope that they care about more than money, which i think is unlikely.
