    What would your awards go to?

    So whos watching the Spike TV awards next weekend?I've always thought Spike TV threw to much favortism to popular games(ex.Halo3,COD,Mario Galaxy and Galaxy has only been out for 3 WEEKS!)

      The Spike awards are nothing more then an award show for the companies willing to pay for it. The very first year I knew it was complete bullshit when Smackdown Vs Raw got best sports game, then Madden took game of the year. How the **** do you get game of the year and not even win your own genre? Is it any coincidence that spike had just happened to pick up WWE that year and also had an on the air match scheduled for during the awards? Of course it did.

      What is most obvious to the corporate agenda behind this, is look at what time of year they are always scheduled. Is it coincidence that it is scheduled during the biggest game release time of the year. Some of the games in it are out maybe a week, if even that, and still get top spots in the awards.

      The awards are nothing more then a really long infomercial for parents to know what games to buy their kids for xmas that year.
