I watched that live it was pretty damn funny. Before he showed that clip he was seeing how long he could spin his wedding ring on his desk. He hit like 36 sec. or something. It will be interesting to see what kind of random crap he comes up with, w/o writers.

I liked how He and Letterman had beards. C'mon Leno get with it!!

He was singing as Edith Bunker---from All in the Family. for the youngsters out there, it was one of the most groundbreaking shows in television in the 70s that dealt with racism through the interactions of a blue collar, white racist living in Queens. It was responsible for spinning off The Jeffersons (black neighbors who moved in next door) and Maude. The opening sequence was the inspiration for the opening credits of The Family Guy where Peter and Lois sit at the piano singing like Archie and Edith did in All in the Family.

It was also the start for director Rob Reiner who played the liberal son in law. Rob Reiner has been at the helm of a multitude of big hits/classics: This is Spinal Tap, A Few Good Men, Stand By Me, When Harry Met Sally, and the Princess Bride.

Maybe others didn't appreciate it as much as I did, but that made me laugh my ass off. I love Conan O'Brien. Thanks for the post Zab. Him strattling the TV was great.
