There's nothing wrong with Muslims in general, it's the extremists that give the religion a bad name. Think of Islam as the religion with a really bad PR agent. What many westerners know about the religion is what they've heard and seen from terrorism.

My gf lived in the UAE for the last 3 years so she knows quite a bit about Islam and Muslim life. If anyone has any questions I'd love to break any misconceptions.

I hope Obama makes sure his security force is doubled for when he heads through the redneck side of the states.... Already warned them about you there Kerry and Norm.

Although I will agree that Islam (as a whole) has bad PR, terrorist groups actually have the best PR I have ever seen. Everything that they do is with their PR in mind. You will often see them undertaking charitable causes like (re)building schools, hospitals, and mosques...

...You will not see that they build re-enforced armories below these buildings so that we they are attacked they can cry about the inhumanities of the enemy.

They also know that being first to report news is more important than being factually correct. Hours before any particular event will be reported in the wires you will find out that the information in available online or already in the hands of some other news agencies.

I don't disparage this at all. However they is a very good explanation as to why it's more common to see a Muslim do this. Many have no education but what they're told. Many can't read and only know what they're told by the "leaders" with their agendas.
