    DSA PS3...The next big thing..?

    What as a group do you guys think will be the next big thing?.

    I bought SoCom, and while it did fairly well, with the clan overall on the PS2 it was a flop. I bought RFOM, and while I really enjoyed the game offline, there were major issues I didn't like online. I purchased Rainbox 6 for the PS3, and no one I know plays online, besides Ditch occassionaly.

    Now, on Warhawk alot of DSA get online with it. And I think it was a hit. But Jericho flopped, GRAW for the PS3 didn't take off.

    The reason I ask this is because I was thinking about getting a new game the other day, and was looking at Assassin's Creed, Ultimate Oblivion and COD4.

    Only COD4 is online. And as impressive as it looks, I don't want to buy another BFMC2, I game which I still greatly enjoy, but no one on the DSA ever gets online with it.

    Besides Warhawk, what new PS3 game do you guys think will be the next "big" thing. Not that the games I've bought weren't fun and not that I didn't enjoy them. But there's no point in buying something that no one else in the Clan is going to be on. And $59.99 is quite alot to spend to sit there all by yourself online with no Clanmates to offset the TKr's, Glitchers, and Cheaters.

      Rent COD4 if you are uncertain. Seriously high quality game.

      RB6V2 is out in March (supposedly).

      Frontlines is in February--but the demo got panned by many (good vehicles, poor infantry).

          There are at least 6 people I know of right now that have expressed an interest in the next gen socom including myself. I can't speak for any of the newer warhawk memebers but we might be able to twist an arm or two. And being more like socom 2, maybe a certain someone will get the itch again.

          I played COD4 at my friends house the other day, and while it wasn't online, I had a blast. The fun factor was reminiscent of goldeneye 64. It already has a lot of inerest from the current Ps3 owners as well. If there is still a strong Ps3 branch of that, I will definately participate once I finally get myself a Ps3.

          GTA IV is also going to be online. I doubt it will warrant a division, but it could definately be a real good side game like BFMC or MUA. Other than that, Frontlines: Fuel of War and Haze could be possible sleepers.

          Oops, I forgot Killzone 2. I'm real interested to see how that comes out being Sony's own baby. The screenshots I've seen have been damn pretty.

              i will be getting socom, rent haze, buy resistance 2, sdmf1 and I used to play resistance all the time,is the force unleashed online?

                          COD4 is fun but I am not as addicted to it as I am with Warhawk (there is just so much to do compared to COD4). I really look forward to Haze and Resistance 2. Haze is going to be one of the few FPS that gives each faction multiple abilities and for it to be pushed back 3 times makes me think they are polishing it to be at its best.

                          Reading about Resistance 2 made me forget about Killzone 2 lol so it will probably be the shooter for PS3 when fall comes unless one of these upcoming titles does something really big.

                              That was my point in starting this thread. Not which game is going to be best, nor the most fun. But Rather what game is everyone in the DSA with a PS3 (Yes, everyone should have one).

                              No point in having a great game, that none of the Clan is on.

                                  killzone 1 sucked so I am not excited about the 2nd one, resistance 2 and socom should both be badass

                                      I too would go with resistence 2 and the new socom when they come out they will for sure be my next purchases.

                                          The game I am most looking foward to for online play is Socom Confrontration. I hope that the overall gameplay is similiar to Socom 1 and 2.

                                                  i love cod4 but i really have fun in unreal tourney 3, i think metal gear online will be really good.

                                                          conflict denied ops looks like it will be pretty good, just watched some videos on it, also, turning point fall of liberty looks alright, these are rentals I am checking into, still hazer and battlefield and frontlines look promising, not sure how many online on mercenaries 2
