    The Wii

Hey guys I can see why there isn't really a topic for this laying around like 360 and PS3 topics, but its cool.
Being a Wii owner I can tell you some of the pros and cons of owning the system.

    Pros:
Has very good First-party support/Second Party Support
    Innovative Controls
    Downloadble content
In March downloadable games will come on the Wiiware

    Cons:
    Horrible Third Party Support
    Not enough Quality Games
An influx of shitty ass games
Look at the Bargain Bin and tell me what Shitty ass games you see!

So being a person who equally likes all three system this is my opinion on the Wii.So for anyone who decides to buy a Wii in the Future you'll be happy that Nintendo knows how to make some good Quality games, but their Third party friends are doing a shitty job(Except Capcom, they're ok and Konami really hasn't put a game on there yet have they?).Being a person who aspires to work in the industry,it really angers me that these poor games get released so quickly.

I have four kids, ages from 3 to 8, so I am contemplating getting the Wii. As a PS3 owner I wonder if the PS3 can put out the same type of interactive games as the Wii. The PS3 has the sixasis controller, so could the PS3 have the abilility to have the same functionality of the Wii.

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. ― Alexis de Tocqueville

ok here goes, i currently have a ps3, wii, psp and a sega dreamcast. i love my wii to death but as far as some of these games go, wow, what a load of garbage. see the only thing that nintendo fails to do is have some kind of game quality control council in which sony and microsoft have. so thus anyone can develop crap for the wii and they can get away with it. nintendo does not care, they just took your money. sad but true

there is nothing like the wii expierience. the ps3 doesnt even come close to wii gameplay. the best thing if you have kids and you own a ps3 is the ps eye. i usually play games that require the eye with my girlfriend she loves it but she prefers playing wario ware or zelda on the wii.

Another good thing about the wii is that it has the most extensive virtual console games. i usually use my dreamcast for emulators but sometimes it laggy so i purchase the game off of the wii vc. no lag but costly.

I agree with you mui. I just got Twilight Princess and have been playing it. I like it so far. I do like the load time, or should I say, lack of load time for the system. It seems to load very quickly for cd based games. Graphics might not be much better than the Gamecube, but it is all about the controls. I can't believe Nintendo hasn't come out with a wireless nunchuk and are leaving that to a third party, but I think that will be cool.

But if it were wireless, then it wouldn't be a knunchuck, would it?

What worries me the most guys is that Nintendo doesn't seem to be controlling the quality of games that come out on the Wii.If you look at the release schedule of games on their site, you'll find some horrible games that nobody even wants. Most are games made to make a quick buck of Wii's innovation(i.e Kidz:soccer?Wtf,etc).
The games I find most notable at the moment that are even worth getting are Medal of Honor:Heros,One Piece:Unlimited Adventure,Baroque,Super Smash Bros.Brawl,Mario Kart and the rest is I can't think of at the moment.

Yeah that sounds like a good list. The Medal of Honor game I want to try out for the online battles, otherwise, I don't like FPS's. Nintendo has always, or at least in my opinion, come out with some crappy games, then they lost a lot of their developers to the PSOne, and that really allowed the crap to flow. Todays big developers don't want to spend the time in making a good game, that will take advantage of the controls, therefore they overlook the Wii in my opinion. I believe they feel the "hard core" gamers are all on the others systems. Hey developers, they do have a classic controller you can make some bad ass games for ;) Hey port some games over, I don't mind, just give us some good stuff. I think they marketed the Wii too much for the young kids, which could shy away a lot of developers. The more Wii's that are sold, can only be good for us Wii owners, for it will force the developers to make some games for it. (just because of the $$) IDK, I am disappointed in one of the games that came with my Wii package and that is the World Poker Tour game. No multi player, and on online? WTF? I'm supposed to just play the AI all the time? Other than that, the Soul Caliber Legends, Zelda, and Wii Sports are enough for me for a while. Smash Brothers, and I can't wait for Mario Kart, with online play....that will be nice.

Side note - I recently bought Rpup to Chukee Cheese and played an arcade version of a Mario Kart game. It had Mr. amd Mrs. Pacman on it too. It was pretty cool.
