    For those in college

I'm not sure if you are using Microsoft's Office Suite for any of your classes, but if you are or will need to please check this site out.

Shop the latest Microsoft Store Black Friday deals at a great price! Get more of what you want for less with discounts on Surface, laptops, computers, PCs, Xbox, Gaming, software, and more.

You get the Ultimate version of Office for $59.95 and that includes
    • Access™ 2007
    • Accounting Express 2007
    • Excel® 2007
    • InfoPath® 2007
    • Groove 2007
    • OneNote® 2007
    • Outlook® 2007 with Business Contact Manager
    • PowerPoint® 2007
    • Publisher 2007
    • Word 2007

    It regularly sells for $679.00

You have to be currently enrolled in a university and have a valid .edu email address. The offer is good till April 30, 2008.

If you have an older version of Office and you've noticed some of the files you get from professors end something like this .docx. That's from the new version of Word. The (x) is from Microsoft adopting the XML language. You can download a plug in allowing your older version of Office to open those files. If you have an extra $60 now is the time to update because you can't beat that deal.

You could always go the Open Office route just in case you don't have the $60 or aren't in school. It's just as good as Microsoft's Office, but it's FREE! Some of the programs form OpenOffice gives you more function and usage then you can get from Office.

    That website is here:
The official home page of the Apache OpenOffice open source project, home of OpenOffice Writer, Calc, Impress, Draw and Base.

No worries. I figure with so many of the DSA in college someone would get some use out of it. The student version of Office is $140 and you only get four of the programs in the Ultimate version. Even JourneyEd.com doesn't have Ultimate for that cheap, it's priced at $240.

Do you know if this is compatible with vista computers. I tried to install my friends office on my computer but it wasn't compatible with vista or whatever and i wouldn't want to waste to 60 bucks to stare at a package.
