Hey, what is an FC? What games are online with the Wii now? And is it like the 360 with the setup and everything? More importantly, what is the Wii online infrastructure like?

To be honest Wii's online structure is inferior to the 360's online structure.Only,but a few games are online at the moment.
FC is Friend Code or Wii Code and you find that by clicking the little envelope on the lower right portion of the main menu of the Wii.Then by clicking address book,you should be able to find your friend code there.You can also add other people if you have their code as well.
Another good thing is the Shopchannel and how you can send people games with the Gift option.

Just curious to know how many people will be buying this game.Just a note,since the caliber of this game is a fighting game and the rooms will fit only 4 people at a time,theres no point in having a Division.Thats my view on it since we already have 6 divisions as it is :).
We can use this thread to know whos going to be playing brawl and you guys can hook up with eachother for battles when one of the other isn't round.

No I don't think this game would be division material, but hopefully we can get some good games going. As far as the Wii Code is concerned you can post mine. One of the big drawbacks to the Wii in my opinion is the lack of online play. I wish the arcade stuff was available for online play cause some damn old school Contra, Tecmo Bowl, or Golden Axe would be sweet.

Part of the reason I went and got myself a 360 was because I was a tad disappointed that Nintendo didn't implement online play with their VC games that are 2-4 players.I mean Pokemon Snap got an update where you can post pictures on your Wii board once a day,and I think thats lame being able to post only one pic.

As you probably all know,Brawl has been released today,and for those who have pre-ordered it they should have there copy by now especially for those who waited until 12:01 for the midnight release.

**OK I had a hard time staying connected for some reason. I updated my Wii and everything, but I kept getting disconnected somehow. I was able to connect and have 1 lag filled battle and decided to try and change my router settings. I assigned an IP for the Wii instead of the auto assign, and I switched the speed from Auto to the highest speed 54mbps and that for sure seemed to fix my lag issue.

I can't wait to get with you guys and play. The anonymous vs. is ok, but I like to know who I am destroying lol. Also want to find out how the custom taunts work out, but those can only be used in friend battles as well. HURRY UP AND GET ON!!!!!!!

Playing SSBB at my friend's place really made me want to get a Wii now so I will be buying it when I get the chance to. Didn't play it online yet but is it that laggy Rdaug or was it just the connections you had before assigning your IP?

After I worked on my router, I had not one bit of lag. I just posted that about my experience to let others know if they had the same problem, that making those same adjustments on their router may help them out.

The GT review said it's a lot better if you break out the gamecube controller.

OK I have tried it with all of the controller options, and I like the Wii Classic Controller the best. To execute the "heavy" attacks, just use the right analog. I was playing at first with just the Wii Remote, and it was ok, but I like having a separate button to jump.

I must ask if anyone else is having problems staying connected? I seem to get disconnected way too much. Once I'm connected with others in battle, its good, but when I try to connect, or are waiting for opponents, thats when I get disconnected.

I just get lag issues with people further away.Like Grejo I had some moderate lag and with Rdaug I had some lag as well :(.
