    Rainbow six Vegas

    Okay.

After many, and I mean MANY times re-playing the Dante's theater level, I just can't get past the last level in the theater where you have to have Jung hack the terrorist's computer.

Either they destroy the computer (the problem I most have), or I die, and/or my PS3 crashes and re-boots the system. I replaced the disc twice, and have redone this level many times, thinking that a bad save was the problem with it crashing. If I go up on the gainway, It will crash so I can't get past the level. If I stay on the stage, either I get wasted, or they destroy the damn computer before I can kill everyone. I've tried manning the heavy MG as some websites say to do, and have Michael man the side so they won't waste the computer trying to shoot him. I've tried climbing up to the gantry, but it WILL crash on me if I do that. I've tried staying in the main theater so I can pop them off as they show up, but I always get drilled, and if I stay on the stage, the same.

You guys that have the game, how in the Holy Hell did you get past this? I must've tried at the very least 85 times. It just won't let me win. My codebreaker won't work in the PS3, and there are no level cheats (trust me, I know, I've looked everywhere) I don't want to cheat the game, I just want to get past this insanely hard level.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Des.

I had some difficulty passing that part, probably 15 times of dying on the stage or the damn computer breaking, I lowered the difficulty on that level and then stayed on the stage and sniped them as soon as they appeared.

I tried this several different ways. I tried the shield to shield the computer. I tried going up high. I tried going into the seats. But the way that works is to get on the gun, and just hit them before too many make it in to take a shot.

I don't know about the crashing thing--I think that is probably from the poor port to the PS3. but the heavy gun was the only way I was able to do it. If you start getting hit while on the heavy gun, step away from the gun and keep killing them, but move around a little to keep them from killing you.

It's just that it's soooo damn fustrating. I didn't have these problems in real life..lol.

I've tried going up on top and throwing smoke and frag grenades, and picking them off with the sniper, but they still destroy the damn 'puter, or even worse yet, it crashes on me.

The other day my wife asked me why I don't play it anymore, as she got it for me as a birthday gift. After trying several times with her watching me, she quickly saw why. I think I even invented a few new swear words. One of the few rare times she didn't laugh at me whan I got pwned, as she does when I play Warhawk. This level is HARD, as in Battlestar Galactica hard. (if you have that game, you'll understand)

When games literally make me that angry, well, that's needless to say not much fun. I play games to relax, not blow my blood pressure through the roof.
Just play GUN, and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. But damn, even GUN isn't this insane. To finally beat the damn level, only to have your system crash before it can auto save,...well, lets just say I'm suprised I didn't through my controller through the TV.

Tried with the HMG. I keep getting pwned while re-loading...lol!!!

I swear, I really do wish there was any cheats for this game so I could bypass this hellish level. What bothers me is that I do have the skillz..I went through all the other levels like a hot knife through butter. But this one level is brutal.

One thing you can say about this game is that you really, really have to use your brain and use the right tactics to win. This isn't a simple "run and gun" like BFMC2. You rush in, you DIE. At least you can't say the AI in this game are stupid, like some other shooters, and lethally acurate. I must have went through the casino several times before figuring out the right strategy.

I can say that I'm happy I'm not the only one. I've been to the official site forums and have seen alot of other people besides myself having trouble with the theater level.

I love how this guy refers to it as the "Hell" level, and makes it look much easier than it really is....lol.

I don't recall needing to reload that weapon. Maybe it's because I would reload between the waves. and if it got harry, I would pop off and shoot with my gun. I also put my man close to me, but not right on me. He could act a bit like a shield.

To tell you the truth, I just ran around and popped guys as they came. The computer was still intact when I got there. But I can understand how it is difficult, it was pretty hard. I'm not sure, but I think that there is a series of tunnels behind the stage and what not which I used to get around.

I'm probably going to throw a massive party when I finally do get past this evil level...lol

Finally got thru the damnable level. I plainly just got lucky. I followed Zabka's advice and manned th HMG, and this time instead of blasting everything in sight I used short controlled bursts. Still took me 4 times though.

What I found interesting though, by using a .50 cal on troops, something that's kind of forbidened by the Geneva convention, while drilling them they just fell down, whereas in real life a .50 cal. round would literally blow your enemy in half, or at least vaporize their skull. Trust me, I know. A .50 cal. round in the chest would blow a hole in you the size of a basketball.

Technically we were told not to use them against troops, but if my troops are being shot at. "F" it, I'll take the charges. At least my men would still be alive.
