I was actually looking into it last night and there are some dedicated server softwares out there for GTA1 and a multiplayer finder for GTA2. Was thinking of maybe installing these on the dedicated to screw around with while we wait for GTA4."POWER!!! UNLIMITED POOWWWEEEER!!!!!!

The PSP versions have 6 man ad hoc multiplayer, and if they're any indication of the MP for this next one, it should be a blast. I was playing with my friend doing a deathmatch and we were having too many laughs chasing each other around and trying to rocket my friends cars as he was trying to run me over. All sorts of powerups and weapons are spread out throughout the city.
Lots of fun and that was just one of the modes.

I've seen the full rumored list. Not a great one for us Whores. If that achievement isn't viral it will be difficult to get for anyone not delving into MP right away.Comment
