IRS to help non-filers get checks
OK I saw this and initially thought well thats kinda cool. Then I started to think about it, and you fellow conspiracy theorists might be able to help me out on this, but could there be and underlining agenda here?
OK the economy is bad and all that, but why would the IRS help? Why would the government "help" people to get money back, that hasn't paid in for a while? I know the article says people on Social Security recipients, and Veterans but come on. The IRS is going to send out field agents to visit retirement homes, well how much is that going to cost? Really are the people living in retirement homes a big contributor to the economy, which this stimulus act is supposed to help?
What better way to get the middle and lower income people, who might have not filed income tax in the past, to voluntarily give the government information about themselves, and where they are at?
Just a thought.
