    Video Gallery and Posts

    The DSA now offers a video section in the DSA Gallery to upload and share your favorite videos. Only registered users and DSA members are allowed to upload videos. Registered user's videos will be added to the moderation queue to be verified before posting. DSA Members do not have moderation on their postings.

    The Gallery will support video sizes up to 476MB. This is to help video makers keep the compression at a good quality. Please note that although the size may allow for it, ANY COPYRIGHT INFRINGED VIDEOS WILL BE DELETED PROMPTLY!!! Keep it clean, keep it legal.

    Q - "I have uploaded a video, now how do I display it in a post?"
    A - To embed the video from the DSA Gallery into a post, browse to the video category and then the particular video's page. Then simply copy the URL into the post. The DSA site will automatically parse the link and embed the video.
    *Please note that you HAVE to manually browse to the image for the correct link. Copying the link from the "New Images" section will NOT work. You MUST go to the "Video" category, then select the proper video.

    The site will also automatically parse links from popular video sites such as GameTrailers and YouTube. Simply paste the link and it will embed the video from that page.

      so posting crap off youtube and GT is fine, you just don't want people posting entire movies and stuff like that?

          Well for embedding the video you only need to post the link for the YouTube, GT or DSA Gallery video. If youtube allows a video, then go ahead and use it. They will upkeep their own video collection to legal standards so I don't care. It's on them at that point.

          Think of the DSA Gallery as a YouTube type site of it's own. To post videos in our Gallery, they need to be ones that won't bring down the swift fist of justice upon us. So if EagleOne wants to post the DSA video in full quality, he can. But if you plan to post entire episodes of Lost, they will be removed and possibly your right to upload or access videos removed.
