E3 2005! Systems unveiled and games uncovered!

Today is the second day of E3, the biggest gaming convention of the year. All the big companies (Microsoft, LucasArts, EA) showoff all of the games (and this year, systems) that will be released this coming year.

So far, I've seen clips for SWBF2, Madden 06, NCAA 06, Halo 3. The games look great, and the systems look even better. PS3 is going to be great, XBox 360 looks equally supurb, and even Nintendo: Revolutions looks not too shabby.

We're going to have a good couple of consoules coming out this year. Of course, I'll get PS3 when it comes out, but I might consider getting 360 as a Christmas gift.

Find out all about E3 at http://www.gamespot.com/e3/index.html

My buddy works for Sony as a game tester and is at E3 now. He keeps calling me to brag about the shit he is seeing and trying out. He has got a look at Socom 3 and he said it looks tight as hell. Can't wait for the PS3 also, even though it will set me back so much money.

Holy hell, Civ 4 looks sick! I love those Civ games. And Star Wars: Empire at War looks very good for an RTS. I think that if PS3 can match 360 as far as online goes, PS3 will be better. They need to have a friends list and maybe come out with wireless headset.

PS3 is much better. It has more memorey, RAM, and EVERYTHING else than xbox 360. its 4 times as good as a computer...lol.

also gameboy micro is coming out...is it just me, or is it modeled after a super nintendo controller?

nintendo revolutions is supposedly able to download any nintendo gae and play it. That means you can download mario 64, or even super mario and play it on revolutions! kinda neat...but i aint buyin it. never was a fan of nintendo games...

PS3 is gunna be about 500 dollars... i mean, you're probably going to spend about 600 something when you buy it anywats, because games are supposedly going to cost 70-80 bucks a pop, and why are you going to get a PS3 and not get a game or 2?!lol. well if i was getting one i would just get it and play my PS2 games...i would imagine they would run better and look better, and i could still use the PS3 extras...and in the future i would buy games...just so expensive. I might get a PS3, like in a year or 2...doubtful. well, i got a PS2 2 or 3 years after it came out....maybe PS3 will be the same...

I went cheap and got my PS2 when Battlefront game out.

That was the braking point. When I found out that BF wasn't being released for the 'Cube.

Got it for 150 and with a game it only cost me 215 in total.

i would have gotte a cube just for resident evil and star wars games, but that controller of theirs is terrible.

:EDIT: I would much rather have a controller design based upon teh Super NES than the controllers from 64 or current knockoff of PS control, I hope Nintendo's next gen designers addressed it

I got my PS2 three years ago when it first dropped to $150. I'm glad I purchased a PS2, no Xbox for me though, not enough games available. I had a Nintendo 64(Perfect Dark&RougeSquadron ruled), and a SuperNintendo & Nintendo before that. The games were few and too happy(not enough gore). Had an Intellevision before that, and a 128K MAC (lol). Can't wait for PS3, but truthfully I will wait until it drops in price(no intoductory MSRP for me). Been thinking about getting a PSP, but haven't spotted any good shooters out there, wonder if they will even have a good shooter??? I might just get one of the new, slim design PS2(mine is having trouble reading discs, takes a while). I wish I could go to E3.....................

As a Electronic specialist, I can tell you that the PS3 is going to cost about $400.00, but it will be damn worth it.

No thanks, no X-Crotch for me. I'm just not impressed. That and the fact that Microsoft still refuses to say if it's going to be backwards compatible. The PS3 is going to have "movie quality" graphics in game, is simply awesome. Just look at the stats. The X-Crotch controller is simply horrible at best. If there's a game that's out there that's that awesome, I'll buy it for the PC. Which face it, that's all the X-Crotch is, a scaled down computer, and besides, I think I've given ol' Bill Gates enough of my money. Sony has the widest variety of games, period. Screw Halo, If I wanna fight online with my friends, then I'll stick with BF2. I don't need a "scaled down" computer for my gaming needs. I already have a puter, why do I need a "scaled down" version to play games. As I said before, if it's that damn good, I'll by it for my PC already.

And like was said before, the only reason I might buy a Gamebrick, is for Resident Evil4. I think that the fact that the Gamebrick can't play music cd's, nor DVD's, and not online, was it's downfall. Nintendo has their heads sooo far up their own asses, it's unbelievable. It amazes me that they were the ones that were supposed to get the PS2, then decided that they didn't want the "cd" format, and left Sony holding the ball(and you saw how that ended...lol!!), and went with the Nintendo 64, another "cartridge" based system instead, and you saw how long that lasted. Every single system that nintendo has come up with has "not" been backwards compatible, and it's bitten them in the ass every single time. You'd think they'd learn by now. Duuuh!!!!

As for the new PSP? No thanks. The graphics are awesome, and the sound is great. But, for $300.00, you can buy a brand new PS2, and a X-Crotch.
Nope, wait for the price to drop on this one. Not enough games, and waaaay too expensive. For the price of this new hand-held, you could damn near buy a new tower unit for your 'puter. And would be more useful.
