This is just too funny. Sad, but funny.

It does look good, but im going to reserve judgement till i play it. Its hard for me to imagine that the story line will be much better than gta4. Im also hoping they dont **** up their online multiplayer again. nice vid btw Blunt.

Hell yeah I would rather go bowling!!!!!! They would have to add some really good features before I would consider that game.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I wouldn't buy it unless I played it first. (I'm like that with every game though...)
With as much hype as GTAIV was getting, I was still skeptical about buying it before playing it, so I rented it first.
If GTAIV didn't have online multiplayer, it would have been traded in the day after I got 100%.

It seems with Saints Row 2, they listened to everybodies complaints of what GTAIV lacked
and then they just threw all that stuff in there.
But I'm okay with that because it does intrigue me more than GTAIVs single player.
I don't know if SR2 will have multiplayer but if it doesn't, it would still intrigue me more.
The more I look at GTAIV, the more I realize it's just a flat out boring game.
The multiplayer is the only thing that keeps me playing it.
That's one of the reasons that I finished GTAIV so quickly, just to get it over with before I got tired of it.
I found myself asking the same question in the single player that Yahtzee asked in his review:
"Am I playing Grand Theft Auto or Grand Theft Normal Boring Life?"

But yeah, SR2 is definitely a rent for me.

Gino, what kind of features are you looking for exactly?
Everything that I saw in that video looks like it will be loads more fun than what GTA4s single player has to offer.

I simply would rather see what great features are added to the game. The only cool thing I saw on the video was a guy taking a coat rack and beating another guy with it.

Okay stealing a sceptic truck and spraying sewage on people would get old after ten minutes. Just like throwing your buddy threw things and in front of trains. Dressing like a cop and robbing banks? All this crap would get old after minutes of play. Dissappointment a foresee. I know everyone thinks I'm so pessimistic but I'm not. I am a realist. And reality tells me that unless online play is fantastic it would be just like GTA4 with a couple of added features.

I agree. After the dissapointment of GTAIV, I won't trust any reviews.
I'll just spend $8 to rent it and judge for myself whether or not it's worth another $52.

I just think the singleplayer looks more fun than GTAIVs.

I'm with you. GTA 4 was a disappointment. None of the activities (bowling, darts, etc) are anywhere near as good as anything in our arcade.

And the phone, which is cool at first, becomes a total nuisance bout 10% into the game and continues to be such all the way through "Dude. We should go throw darts. NO??? I'm not your friend anymore".

Eff reviewers. Anybody who rated GTA 4 a 10 are completely out of their minds. It lost some of the cool features from SA and the story is no different than any of the other ones. Start broke, do crimes, be bigtime. Only this time there is nothing to spend money on... no buildings to buy, businesses to run, safe houses to spend money on... SUCKS.

                    No christ.. your not.

                    I second that movement.

I personally would love to see what and how THQ brings Saints Row 2, too the table..

By looking at that video it's the first time I actually seen another game do something like that.. If you think about it.. Its like politics in a way. (the video I mean) How other politicians put down other politicians in commercials. I thought it was quite entertaining.

I can't wait to see if THQ opens up new fields for Saints Row..

I like the sound of it...

GTA IV vs. Saints Row 2.

I would love to see them over take every goal that GTA IV did and more, because playing bowling?

It's like beating around the bush...

                    Anyway, in the mean time.

They also pushed this game way back and it wouldnt surprise me if it gets pushed back again. It seems that their advertising dept isnt on the same wavelength as their devs. For the book i like gta4 alot. I believe it has alot of depth and detail. It is of course personal opinion.

For those of you that didn't play SR, it was a completely superior game for the single player. The MP had shitty matchmaking options and extreme lag. However, it was released almost 2 years ago. I'm willing to bet the SP will be amazing and the MP will be at least as good as GTA's.

In the end though, all of these games are really just killing time until GoW2 drops!

I played my friends saints row, and I have beaten 100% all main and side schools and missions on vice city and san andreas without cheating. in saints row I like how you can customize your characters face and appearance. didnt play multi but overall gameplay and looks/feel, I liked saints better than gta, I rented gta4, it was ok, I think the hype hurt it, looking forward to renting saints 2
