This is the crap we had to grow-up with.

Blunt per our conversation I wanted to give you a glimpse of how bad childrens television was back when Taco and i were growing up. All you younglings need to appreciate what you have now.

I'm sorry if I give anyone bad memories for this:

Trust me that's just a taste of the crap they had. It was definitely psychodelic. These guys had to have been on acid.

Those were so terrible they were great. hahaha. :D

From that first vid, after watching the creds, I really want to see Funky Rat...

I'm not going to pretend that my kids are ever going to like the crap I watch right now. Heck... I'll even admit that most of the shows I watched as a kid are completely unwatchable right now. Adult swim shows (past and present) have become some of my favorite shows. I watch them and still can't figure out what I see in them. :D

The Sid & Marty Krofft stuff was way too long ago for even most of you guys to have watched. That was on when I was really young--like 3-4. Great Space Coaster was probably definitely something you guys could have watched first run.

I don't think I ever watched this, but I remember it. I was born in 78.

I want to say that I was in 3rd grade or so when the show came out---that would make is about 1981 or so. It probably was on for a few years, so you would have been about the right age at some point. Somebody in KA takes his name from that show--Gary Gnu.

Family Guy had a clip where Peter got picked up by the Great Space Coaster where they did the whole song.

My favorite show when I was a kid had to be--

I knew Morgan Freeman and Rita Moreno were in it---I didn't know Bill Cosby was.

Just add Sidney and the Sea Monsters, Tarzan, and Thundarr the babrarian.

                    I could so add more.

My brothers were born in '69 and 72'. I remember that crap cause they all watched it when I was very young. Remember the Polkadotdoor or 321 contact?

Des I don't remember any of those.

I was born in 74. Remember most of these. I hated HR Puffnstuf and all that, but I did like sigmund the sea monster or whatever his name was. I seem to remember liking Great Space Coaster ok... like you said before... wasn't a lot to choose from. I dug The Groovy Ghoulies.

I don't like a lot of the more popular cartoons (Family Guy, Boondocks), but I see why people dig them. I do absolutely love Aqua Teens (Season 4 and before... have gotten not so good), and SQUIDBILLIES, which for my money is about the be all end all. I also like Dr Katz and Home Movies, and have every episode of all four of those shows in DVD sets.

As a side note... if any of you guys want to see a HELL of a show, the guy that plays Early Cuyler on Squidbillies calls himself Unknown Hinson. He's a friend of a friend and is THE **** live. Going to see him play music is like a cross between a phycho redneck vampire Weird Al and Jimi Hendrix. And yeah, he's that good. I don't care what kind of music you like, you will have a great time and be blown away by how good he is.

See I don't like country, but Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash both are just hard ass. That first link (I think the name of the song is sweet revenge) is just an AWESOME song for Warhawk asskicking montage.

And I set up a video camera last night on my TV and will do so again tonight. I may play with that.
