Rockband 2

Alright so I know there are a few people in the clan on the 360 who have Rockband 2. I was wondering if any of you guys would be interested in say starting a Rockband band over Xbox Live, since you can do that now with RB2 and have a night where we can all get together and play and have some fun. If anyone is interested just let me know.

Yeah I'm down. Got your live message. Basically, I'm terrible with drums. Also, probably hard for me to 100% guarantee that I can make it every week on a set schedule. But, I'm down for giving it a shot and seeing if it is fun.

I am pretty good on drums barring we do not play any metal, except Metallica I am pretty okay with. Once we get some more people on board we can talk about who wants to play what.

I am up for it. Do you guys have mics that work with the instruments? The normal 360 mic does not plug in (the one with the plastic end that mutes). The one that comes with the keypad, does however. Alternatively, any mic/earphone that plugs into a cellphone (most come with that earbud mic) will work as well.

Well I know you need an adapter for RB1 instruments but I don't know about RB2 ones. I have a RB1 microphone, RB2 drums, and GH guitar and I know the mic plugs into that one.

just to be clear, I don't mean the mic for singing. I meant the mic /headset so we can talk to each other. Not as much fun when we aren't talking to each other. my RB2 guitar does not accept the standard 360 mic. Nor does my GH3 guitar. But because I have the 360 controller key pad, it has a different mic jack--one that can work with any cell phone. That's what I was trying to point out. If you have a headset that works for the game online, then that's awesome.

Zab my 360 mic works in both my GH3 guitar and RB2 drums and I have the newer mic that comes with the 360s now the one with the clip on mute button. So I am good to go. I would really like to have one more person jump in with us but if we only get three people I guess we can roll with that. Let's go ahead and figure out who wants to play what, I can do anything so it doesn't matter.

i got other friends with RB2 as well. I don't have RB1, so I don't have those songs. I also have only downloaded the songs that come with it.

If you can rent a copy and pay $5 for the tool you will be able to import the original RB1 songs into RB2, that is the cheapest way I know (besides borrowing RB1) to increase your song selection...

Zab if you have a Family Video near you rent RB1 there for one night its like $2 and then spend the 400 Microsoft points to import the RB1 songs.
