    Internet Service

My friend is looking to get online gaming but his dad won't pay for AT&T or Comcast. Do you guys know of any affordable internet services that are good for gaming that I can recommend to my friend?

Verizon has Fios but I don't have that and I don't know how much it costs.

Other than that I believe most of them are around the same price. I would suggest your friend get a job to pay for it. I don't know how old your friend is but if he is still in high school he can look for a job at a video store. They pay pretty decent and you get to watch all the movies for free. :)

I have FiOs and it runs beautifully. It's like $39.99 or $49.99 a month.
I'm not really sure cuz I get the digital cable with it also.

XBox LIVE is built for high-speed connections so his gaming experience might be less enjoyable based on how cheap of an internet he wants.

If you go to Best Buy you can buy a modem from them and get highspeed for 19.99 a month for six months assuming you atleast have teh 15 basic 1 cable. Otherwise there is a 29.99 deal.

I would tell him to try calling and asking..there is usually an intro deal you can get.

If he can't seem to get a deal, tell him to set up an install a few weeks out...and then call back a few days later to cancel it saying he can't afford it. they will transfer him to the Retention department and they have access to more specials.

The main thing he is looking is a cheap installation fee. the only reason he wasnt able to get at&t or comcast was because they charge to much for the install. do u remember what the installation fee was for FiOs is there was any?

i'll mention the deal at best buy too him as well

If he already has cable he can do a self install kit for like 10 bucks!

I think also he can try getting AirRave from sprint it uses cell towers but I'm not sure if he'd want to go that route. My bro works for Sprint and is trying to hook up his PS3 that way as we speak. I'll try to find out how it goes.

that's one way. Otherwise he can go into a payment center and pick one up but I don't know what kind of deal he would get. I would go to best buy first.
