    Sicko in Warhawk

Some people just cross the line. sick. Check out this article I just ran into.

    PlayStation-based kiddie porn. What next?

    Posted by Richard Koman @ March 14, 2009 @ 5:27 PM

It makes sense when you think about it, but I never did. Seems we have our first case of a PlayStation child predator. The Houston Chronicle reports that 24-year-old Anthony Scott O’Shea was arrested on charges of online solicitation, promotion of kiddie porn and sexual performance of a child.

O’Shea and an 11-year-old Texas girl were playing Warhawk on PS3s when O’Shea convinced the girl to take nude photos of herself and send them to him. The seamy details:

According to court documents, the girl “performed” for the man using a Web camera. She said she met O’Shea playing the game Warhawk and that he had used the screen name “Thunder-kid.”

During interviews with investigators, the girl said that the man “kept pressuring her for more pictures and wanted to set up a meeting with her in order to engage in sexual activity,” the court record states. The girl told the man that she was only 11, according to records.

O’Shea admitted contacting and receiving photos of the girl, so it seems like a pretty open-and-shut case. And it gets worse:

Authorities said they also discovered that O’Shea had distributed the girl’s photos to other people.

This guy needs to have some TOW missiles shoved up his...

In all seriousness, it's disturbing that sickos like this exist even in the gaming environment.

I actually wrote a paper on that in college. What is going on in the world today?

Its very interesting, it is my humble opinion that while the education rate in this country has horribly gone wrong and we are losing everything that made america unique, I personally think that people are just as sick as they always have been. Kiddie pornographers and uncle bad touches, rapers, murders, dog rapers and people like brocman, (hee hee) have always been around. Whats different is that technology is allowing us to take a good look at ourselves and we aren't liking what we see. I think this is the reason for the declination in morals and education. (Especially in urban areas)

Anyway, sorry for the random rant...just sorta popped into my head.

I'm thinking this HAD to be in a very small room with only those two people on the same side? Or maybe it was done via PSN messages?

I know if I had been in a room with some dude soliciting pics vocally I'd TK the shit out of him until he left the room, even if he was 24 and the girl was 24...

but how you would think that someone ADDING you and sending you kiddie porn to your PSN s/n wouldn't get you busted is beyond me... but where the hell were the girl's parents?

Kids are tough. You can't watch em all the time. Most of the people I know hate their kids. (ok not really) But I do a good number of them that lets TV and video games occupy their time. My kid is getting atari and calico vision. If I catch him on my PS3 and big screen...

Nice add. with the site....my cousins wife totally loves "The Dragon Kick" She had administered it to her daughter ONCE cause she was giving her lip about going out all the time.....she's a youngen... also she landed inside the closet..ha.

But all seriousness Online Gaming really shouldn't be for kids that young. I mean first off all there are a lot of people talking about smoking, drinking, threatening each other calling people gays...and all that I don't want my son hearing that. He'll inherit my old super nintendo anyways.

I just hate people like this I mean yea it sucks that some girls when they look like 20 happen to be like 17 but 11? I mean really come on. Maybe we should as punishment let creepy old men hit on him....except we lock him in a room handcuffed that way he can't get away. Then we send him to jail and let Big Bill take care of him. Or he is from Texas we could just elect him president lol.

                          True.
                          Education is important.

It raises the question though...how fast do you have to grow up our children?
                          -Hmm.
I mean Keyser you have to admit, that speech would inspire questions in a 6 year old...a 10 year old? What age is educatable regarding such natures.

Stranger Danger just doesn't seem to cover it.

nice one vic, lol. And I am not all bad, except when I have been drinking a lot, then you probably don't want to play warhawk with me, lol.

As for the topic at hand, it is sad that there are people out there that do this kind of thing. I agree with Prophet that kids should really not be playing online video games like warhawk. I know it has a T rating but still you don't know what somebody on the other end of the mic is going to be saying. If I had kids I wouldn't want them to play with markjayw, seriously.

Ha hahaha...I wouldnt subject Adults to Markjayw from what I have heard of him.

I don't know about the idea of keeping your kids away from online stuff. Is that even possible? The internet is intrenching within our society and becoming an intergral part of it.

I will choose to treat the internet like guns. My dad put a gun in my hand at 7 years old (unloaded of course) and said this had the power to take people's lifes. It is a powerful thing that should be respected and understood.

Of course being me, I took it out to show my friends when he wasn't home and he walked in on it. He then proceeded to give me the infamous "5 across the eyes" and then "sucker punch" when I wasn't looking to drill home his message.

After that I respected guns. I think the internet will have to be handeled the same way eventually. Between Predators, Porn, Scams, on top of the fact that schools will put the internet in your kids hands by the time they are 6...I don't know.
