    Drizz, this=your ankle eventually

This is what my ankle looks like now Drizzle. I had a plate and 4 screws put in also. I fell on mine again and had to get a 3 inch screw put back in to connect to the other side of my ankle so I got an extra slice on the other side. You should just have the one. Enjoy the OXY, if you chew them it eliminates the time release so you can get really fucked up.

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. I'm going to have to post some pics of mine.....quite similar to yours Tony. I shattered my ankle about 4 years ago and ended up with a plate on each side and 10 screws holding it all together.

My scars aren't bad, but I definitely don't have the mobility I used to and I have to be careful what sports/activities I subject it to. Best advice I can give is go to physical therapy (everytime) and do your scheduled exercises/stretches (everytime). Hope you heal well and soon.

That's great advice because I was doing all my excercises and once it started to feel good I kind of let off and now I have scar tissue in there and I lost a few degrees of movement.

Tony, you might want to consider doing some non-impact type of actvities to strengthen your core, upper body and lower legs. Things to consider: 1) Pool workout (running in the pool - this is the #1 activity top athletes will use when rehabbing) 2) Circuit Training - cardio workout...will lose weight/strengthen upper body and core - weight gain can adversly impact the recovery of an injury since you are putting unecessary weight on that area 3) Yoga....don't want to sound like a "Mary" but this a superb workout that will strengthen your core muscles and lower legs. I do it on a weekly basis and it not easy AT ALL.....Now you might want to consult your doctor since certain of these activities you might not want to do right away.

I'm a year and a half removed from my injury, I try to do plyometric excercises to warm it up. But I did gain like 40lbs so I'm sure that added to my recovery. I just need to get my fatass on a bike again.
