    Man am I pi$$ed

Apparently the XPS laptop I have isn't even in my name. It says that someone else owns it. SO I can't get a replacement Motherboard, and I purchased a 3 year warranty and have been having lots of small but noticeable problem with it since I got it.

The video card is a 128mb and I wanted 512mb. Vista Crashes often especially when I'm downloading files. I get long freezes and this thing has 3 gigs of ram. but sometimes runs like 1 gig. Frakk Vista. Now I gotta sit on the phone and try and fix this crap so I can get them to replace my laptop.

Now I wonder how long this will take considering I have to use it for school and will probably have to start using either my old laptop with 769mb of ram or my wife's laptop which is Vista but has 1 gig of ram and is slowwww as crap.

Sorry just needed to vent as to not smash the shit outt of my laptop.

thats why I don't buy laptops. I never need to use my computer away from my house so there is no reason. Plus Vista is just the worst. Linux keeps calling my name day after day.

Linux is by far the best option to Vista, I'll give Microsoft credit, it has improved some and the crashing has calm down but it still does a lot of unnecessary functions. But they don 't tell you how to adjust it. You gotta look it up

Probably doesn't matter but Asus was supposed to have mother boards with a feature called "ASUS Express Gate" which was a firmware version of some sort of Linux, which booted instantaneously, as a boot option, if you wanted to skip the normal windows boot sequence and just get surfing in a hurry....
